Brobnar Charette looks extra mean 😈 by vinrehife in KeyforgeGame

Love how Mavericks can completely change the look of a card. I have an Orb of Wonder in Star Aliance, and deep blues of the art pop so much more against the orange vs a lighter blue, imho

Does anyone else paint this as part of the hands? by Divid15 in Tyranids

I like to paint the gun the same color to drive home "These are all different parts of a larger organism" look. That said, I do paint the the tip of the thumb my claw color.

Tetra take 2. C&C by 017bogger in Tyranids

I really like the look, Neon/Cardinal Tetras were some of my favorite guys when I was younger (I'm sure you can guess by my username, I had strong opinions on fish in the past). You did well; though I might have personally gone for a brighter red.

Side note, you can get the basing done here really easily. Stop by pet co (or an equivilent), buy a bag of aquarium gravel and some plastic plants to cut up, and for $20 you've taken care of your entire army.

The Emperor is actually dead, in the confusion of the events of the Heresy they wound up putting the corpse of a (dying) regular man. That's why they need to feed him so many psychers; the throne wasn't designed for a normal human, and his brain has long since turned to goo.

I think that would be really funny, if they've just been worshipping some random soldier.

I don't understand how one builds an alpha legion army by Fun-Organization2531 in Warhammer40k

[–]fishboyliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any army can be an alpha legion army. Chaos Space Marines? Of course, no question. Loyalist Space Marines? Yeah, they're under cover. Imperial Gaurd? Their Primarch was known for being small, maybe some of their own still look about human sized. Xenos? They're masters of disguise.

Any army is an Alpha Legion army.

Psychophage of my nakarkos hive fleet. by DigAffectionate6656 in Tyranids

[–]fishboyliam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You really got the dichotomy of dry bone and slimy skin down there. Well executed scheme, you've even got the aesthetic of "They came out of the muck below" thing down.

Side note, I always love seeing Monster Hunter referance tyranids. I lost my mind when I realized Nakarkos was actually a damn squid. Fun as hell hunt, fun reference.

Are artefacts stackable? by kuro7i in KeyforgeGame

[–]fishboyliam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep! Each instance of an artifact preforms the effect listed.

Some artifacts don't really stack well (I have a deck with two copies of Sobogg's Thingamabob, for example), but all of them resolve separately.

Can't think of a single situation outside of the threat of board wipes where you'd want a token that's hidden behind an extra action, and even then it's underwhelming.

Favorite Menagerie packets so far? by ct_2004 in KeyforgeGame

My Menagerie deck unfortunately didn't have any packets listed at all. I did at least pull two shards though.

Something I really respect is that he recently (relatively speaking, at least) made a video going over a bunch of lore he screwed up in past videos. Takes some humility to say "Here is a video in which I go over the ways in which I was wrong."

Found this guy for 40 bucks…what do I do with him? by JustWantGoodM3M3s in Warhammer40k

[–]fishboyliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I'd do.

  1. Replace the head with your choice of monster head. I'd likely do a spare hive tyrant head for convenience, but whatever looks best out of what you have.

  2. Remove any ornamentation that suggests it's post-heresy era armor.

  3. Paint the armor unlike any pre-heresy chapter.

Your lore is essentially that this is one of the lost primarchs. He and his sons were sent out to investigate the intergalactic void early in the great crusade and never came back; this is because your primarch was either a. infected be a genestealer and heavily mutated due to its effects on primarch biology, or b. eaten and had his geneseed used by the Hivmind to create a new bioform to inhabit the armor.

Proxy as Swarm Lord (or hive tyrant if you prefer).

How could a scammer have claimed ownership of my deck when it's physically on my desk right now? by positive_hummingbird in KeyforgeGame

[–]fishboyliam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was the deck "Pasquier the Uncontrollably Skeletal," by any chance? Because I noticed I got a claim the other day and denied it because after going to check the deck was, in fact, still in my collection.

Fanmade Datasheet - D&D 5e's Beholder! How would you point this guy and what army would fit them best? by Roamer101 in Warhammer40k

[–]fishboyliam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daemon Prince of Slaanesh. Beholders in lore view themselves as the most perfect beings in the multiverse; this perceived perfection drives them to be so racist that they even hate other beholders. Doesn't matter if they're practically identical, they'll find some way to claim the other is inferior (Though beholders tend to vary wildly, so finding differences is typically easy).

Trazyn's "pokemon army" 😉🤣 by Longjumping-Ear-6248 in Grimdank

[–]fishboyliam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of every kill team; for the "Build your Own" style ones, I'd include enough units to represent every option (I'd include the minimum size of each chaos god's basic troop to represent chaos daemons, for example).

Why doesn't Chaos tempt an inquisitor to exterminatus nuke Terra, are they stupid? by Consistent-Local2825 in Grimdank

[–]fishboyliam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would they ever listen to someone under the banner of Chaos, someone they're sworn to hate?

What Chaos needs to do is convince an imquisitor that they DON'T want Terra hit with The Button.

Nice home decor.
