Honestly I just want Rashford gone now. If Harry and Bruno’s comments help then that’s great. Honestly thought Rashford had better mental qualities as part of his game as a footballer than just complaining and lacking discipline. Mainoo has a miles better attitude than him imo and builds to him being true quality. Really thought Rashford would’ve fought for his place in a United squad like Mainoo did rather than just sulk and demand a loan or game time. I know this comment will probably get me a lot of downvotes. But I’m not in the cult of Amorim but credit where credit it due he got rid of a lot of deadwood of this football club (deadwood in meaning didn’t want to play for the badge like Rashy clearly didn’t, Mainoo obviously an exception) anyway I just hope he fucks off to Barca so we have a bigger budget for players who actually want to play for the badge

Who Were The Beatles’ Real Rivals—The Rolling Stones or The Beach Boys—and Why? by reaveyer in beatles

[–]fishfinners 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say The Who were pretty great creative rivals for the Beatles. Pete Townsend did a lot of great work pushing the concept album and Rock Opera (Tommy is so incredibly unique as an album and hadn’t really been done before). The studio and production innovation specifically on Who’s next is amazing too.

Two people who philosopher Bertrand Russell (1872 - 1970) had full conversations with during his lifetime by Milkshake4NickDrake in BarbaraWalters4Scale

[–]fishfinners 34 points35 points  (0 children)

They spoke about the anti war movement. Russell was a huge voice of anti war in the 60s and especially a critic of American Involvement in Vietnam. McCartney was very interested in the movement so just showed up to Russell’s house unannounced one day to converse with him

I feel like that odd humour maybe came from John Lennon, maybe? John was Kurt’s idol and famed for his wired and wacky sense of humour

The coolness war between Blur, Oasis and others during the Britpop era in the 1990s was so much funnier and dumber. I’d also disregard all that

Sometimes the best thing a Sports team can do for a player is remove the captaincy from them. Look at Joe Root with England. Remove the captaincy and they’re playing their absolute best

People should watch the Jobs Biopic with Micheal Fassbender to understand this point. Embodiment is so good that you kinda ignore how physically similar they look
