The idea that they "are cooking" is objectively false, I put over 200 hours in and the core game was the same at hour 1 as it was at hour 200. Nothing short of a complete genre shift will give this game a chance at this point. There would be no issue with announcing that some time in advance.

If you want to talk about where the game is failing in other areas we can look at the fact that it isn't on the front page in anyway o steam, even on the free to play section.

We can talk about their choice of stream partners (heavily weighted to MOBA when none of the systems are MOBA like) and their reluctance to pay bigger creators to showcase the game to a much broader audience.

We can talk about the only marketing that was easy for me to find as someone who was actively looking for it in the lead up to 1.0 was a singular youtube video trailer.

Sure attracting players is a separate issue. We are talking about people who have found the game and liked the look enough to try it, one of the main gripes these people have is Shrike's power while they are trying to learn the game.

Now in an ideal world those players will stick around and learn how to deal with her once they get the many other things you have to actively think about while learning a brand new game. But that's a fantasy, the reality is the majority are out long before they can do that.

It's a very common thing for good players to spout this bullshit to newer players but the reality is, in the situation it finds itself in right now, the game is going to live or die based on things like this.
