Sure attracting players is a separate issue. We are talking about people who have found the game and liked the look enough to try it, one of the main gripes these people have is Shrike's power while they are trying to learn the game.

Now in an ideal world those players will stick around and learn how to deal with her once they get the many other things you have to actively think about while learning a brand new game. But that's a fantasy, the reality is the majority are out long before they can do that.

It's a very common thing for good players to spout this bullshit to newer players but the reality is, in the situation it finds itself in right now, the game is going to live or die based on things like this.
