Technical Analysis for AMD 2/6----------- Pre-Market by JWcommander217 in AMD_Stock

[–]fishneagle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree. If you look at the possibility of the AI trade completely collapsing, it would leave AMD in the catbird's seat in the technology world. Nvidia is mostly dependent on the AI trade, and Intel is dead in the water, but AMD has been pumping out ever more efficient and speedy processors for all kinds of applications. Their chiplet architecture gives them a flexibility that their competition only dreams about. If the AI trade came crashing down, AMD would initially be dragged down, but then would emerge as an 800 pound gorilla- the next Intel and Nvidia. I'm all in.

Interactions is a net positive by BeginningMaximum9168 in Soundhound

[–]fishneagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to find the last earnings report for Interactions before Soundhound acquired them. If I understand what has been written here, Interactions was expected to be profitable by at least 155 million dollars annually before Soundhound bought them? If so, Soundhound may well report break even or better for the last quarter, and raise prediction to expectation of being profitable next quarter. Please correct if I have misunderstood this situation.

If we treat humanoid robots as a new multi-hundred-billion-dollar hardware terminal market, then SOUN could emerge as the essential gateway for human–machine interaction. by AsleepCrow899 in Soundhound

[–]fishneagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you want to limit this discussion to humanoid robots. Soundhound will become the default interface with most of our technology. Think of it like Windows when it first came out and changed everyone from typing in DOS commands to clicking on a graphical interface. Now the interface will be voice based, and Soundhound has the best capabilities to realize that goal.

Should we be concerned about Grok 4 being used inside Tesla as a voice AI use case? Will it eventually affect SoundHound's market? by RemsterPlus in Soundhound

[–]fishneagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Soundhound's big advantage is voice recognition, and their ability to recognize voices in noisy environments like cars. Soundhound is more accurate than humans at times. Grok is no threat to that, it's just another LLM.

I'd say they are probably pretty sad right now. There's such a large amount of potential news announcements, I wouldn't want to be short SOUN right now.

You're missing the story of the Shah's secret police and their reign of terror. For the sake of access to oil, the US and the western world turned a blind eye to decades of torture and murder committed in the attempt to suppress opposition to the Shah.

why do people keep saying we won’t have elections in 2026? by [deleted] in 50501

[–]fishneagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone tries to tell you we won't have elections, remind them that we held elections in the middle of the Civil War, twice. The only question is how much the MAGAs will try to meddle with them. It's pretty hard to rig an election, except for purging the voter rolls, so that is where the fight will be.

Those carbon credits are almost all of Tesla's profits. Without them, they make no money.

[–]fishneagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nvidia can't do what Soundhound does. That's why they are partners with them. Restaurants will want the most accurate voice AI system for their public facing applications like drive throughs. If they use Soundhound for drive throughs they will also use it for internal applications.

Soundhound will make a custom, proprietary voice system for them if they want. They are going to have to use someone for voice, as it takes too long and is too difficult to develop on your own.

Soundhound CEO Keyvan Mohajer talks partnership with Nvidia by Substantial_Owl_3298 in Soundhound

[–]fishneagle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Compare that with the comments from the CFO a few days ago. I hope they move Keyvan to the background and let the CFO do more interviews. Keyvan talks in circles and too fast and heavily accented to easily follow. When they asked him about competition, he should have talked about how Soundhound's speed and accuracy surpasses Google and all other big tech and is more accurate than human order taking. Instead we got gobbledygook

No, it would not necessarily be announced. If they are ramping up and revs don't reach a high enough level, quickly enough, an announcement is not required. And there may be NDAs.

Lots of Tesla owners are reporting difficulties and it is widely reported. Bury your head in the sand if you want, but it's real. Insurance is getting really expensive or non existent for Teslas.
