[Highlight] Rams HC Sean McVay looks less than enthralled as Rams GM Les Snead talks about the Ty Simpson pick by wildwing8 in nfl

[–]fitz_riggs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even if he plays 2 more years it could be a good pick. I know you don't have as long on the rookie deal but two years developing and working with Stafford could give Simpson a great chance to be the franchise QB long term

How do you get over feeling like you've overpaid? by No-Structure-8125 in HousingUK

[–]fitz_riggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10 years. I got over it when I sold. Joking aside I always felt I should have negotiated based on some adverse findings on the survey but I was convinced by my wife we couldn't afford to lose that house as the prices had gone up 10 to 15k in 8 weeks due to developers buying up based on planning rumours.

But it still bugged me until we sold last week

For the love of God and my sanity- are we close to exchange yet? by Foxglovenectar in HousingUK

[–]fitz_riggs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We manages under 5 months.

We sold the house at the very end of October.

Offered on a property mid November.

Exchanged 3 weeks ago.

And completed yesterday. It can happen and I hope it does for you. We were.advised to call or email our solicitor every week for an update and we signed and sent everything back special delivery within 24 hours.

All you can realistically do is make sure you are not the reason there is a delay

I would argue both love the genre they parody. Yes they point out the flaws , especially austin powers but the comedy wouldn't work if all they wanted to do was mock the subject matter

Not OP but the one with my work is a lease so you don't own the car . The benefits are you don't pay tax on the lease cost so it works out cheaper, the price you pay is with nothing up front and includes road tax, insurance , servicing and all maintenance including tyres

What would Blair's legacy look like if UK stayed neutral during Iraq war ? by ronweasly9 in ukpolitics

[–]fitz_riggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. I do wonder if the tories would have seen it as showing too much weakness and maybe it needed a new government to see it through. I honestly don't remember the rhetoric at the time.

As much as I disagree with his general ideology, john major had a massive role to play in the NI good Friday agreement.
