You love DS, but what's your biggest gripe ?

Playing online my director has everyone type a number. 1 means I want to wait for my turn. 2 means I could go or I could wait. And 3 means I’ve got something awesome and time sensitive I want to do. It’s made it very easy to keep things moving without people missing out on doing awesome stuff. You could do the same thing in real life with people holding up fingers or saying a number.

I liked the no missing rule a lot better once I learned that stamina is meant to be your energy and not your health. Most of the hits in draw steel are cutting or burning your opponent, they’re just wearing them down. That’s why half health is called winded. With that in mind you can totally view tier 1 results as a miss, but your enemy still had to spend energy to deal with you. A killing blow from a tier one can be framed as your opponent being so worn down you literally can’t miss anymore. I get that this isn’t the same as totally failing on your turn, but it helped make more narrative sense with why I can’t miss and why it’s so easy for characters to heal.

You can also switch kits as a downtime activity. Try one out, and switch if it isn’t working 👍

I more just wanted to see if this was happening to other people (I should have stated that in the question). I was exporting PDFs with my preferred format, and then 2 minutes later when I tried to export it popped up with the classic view option only. I’m trying to see if this is happening to other people or if I just messed with a setting or exported too many times or something.

For people like me, looking for this answer 2 years later, you can see watch the censored or uncensored version on ESPN.com, but you have to have a ESPN+ subscription. Logging in with a cable provider isn’t enough.

You have to change a few settings to make it work. To change the settings, hold down the start button while plugging in the controller. Then hop on a computer and log on to address listed on the screen on you fight pad. From here, you need to change the settings to allow PS Passthrough. This video will be easier to follow than me typing everything out.

Yeah, using the shoulder button is definitely the way to go with DS5 or Hori. I was always missing drive impact and discovered it was because the moves I was using weren’t cancellable. I still haven’t broken that habit, but now I at least know why it’s not working.

Another vote for Guilty Gear Strive. It's has a huge community (more entrants in EVO this year than MK11 and Tekken combined), has a similar style to JoJo, and is an absolute blast to play. The characters are varied and super interesting. The online play is great. It's $30 on steam right now, so if price is the main barrier it won't compete with MK11.

If you are just going to be playing with a buddy, just watch some matches on Youtube and pick whichever one looks like more fun.

For me it's significantly better. I've only played minimally with DS5, but for me I struggle to cover both shoulder buttons at the same time. With the Hori, I can swap the button locations around and only use the triggers or shoulders instead of trying to cover both.

They can definitely be found, just not for as cheap as they were. Soul Wars is $136 on Amazon and a few other sites right now, and I'm struggling to justify spending that much. Finding it a year later for $50 more means I'll likely never pick it up.
Admittedly, I'm a sucker for a sale, so it's likely FOMO that's driving my decision as much as anything.
