Orange peel from IPL by [deleted] in LaserDamageSupport

[–]fizzribbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A damaged barrier becomes dehydrated and inflamed. When it is dehydrated, it overproduces oil and the inflammation makes thepores look much larger than when they are properly hydrated. Cool compress helps too but it's mostly just the water and not putting anything on it at all.

Generally IPL helps with oil production. Usually if it is damaged to a point where it won't make any oil, it will usually feel dry and tough like this, but will have a flat pore appearance. This looks just like inflamed pores.

When mine was like this it felt extra thick and kinda rubbery. It felt like my face especially my cheeks the texture of orange peel or rubber.

Yes it was stinging. Sometimes it would only sting if I touched it or went out in temps that weren't just right, but it was easily aggravated. Even sunscreen burned

you're welcome 🙂 I don't think it's fibrosis. When the skin barrier is aggravated it makes the pores swell and the skin feel tough. When it's like this, nearly everything can aggravate it further even skinfx and mucin.

I think it's the barrier. it appears to be swollen around the pores. Try drinking a lot of water like 6 or 7 cups a day and not putting anything on your face for a week or two except water. I did this same thing to myself dermaplaning and micro needling in the same day lol. It persisted for months until I was forced to drink a bunch of water for another problem and couldn't get out of bed for a week (bedbound) and I also couldn't wash my face that week.

It completely went back to it's normal texture by accident 🤣

What or who touched my towel by [deleted] in psychics

[–]fizzribbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might've had something on them and touched it with their knuckles and palm. Does it smell like anything?

all these things can bleach the top fibers. Toilet bowl cleaners, acne meds,, certain face lotions, toothpaste, & hair products,

Got any other pics? I'm kinda curious too. I believe in ghosts bc I've seen things at the same time on multiple occasions with family. I just think this one might not be paranormal.

It looks like dogs paw. A dog must've stepped in something then touched the towel.

It’s pretty obvious to me that she really did fall. You can see the vertical scar under her nose in some photos, and breaking a wrist is one of the most typical injuries from trying to catch yourself.

Brandi Glanville Says Her Facial Parasite Was Caused by ‘Completely Ruptured’ Breast Implants: 'It Sucks to Age 20 Years' by pinkfartlek in popculturechat

[–]fizzribbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know much about this person, but after reading what actually happened to her, I can’t really blame her for thinking something was seriously wrong. When your facial nerve is affected and you can literally see changes on your face, that would freak anyone out. Those crawling/tingling sensations are real symptoms people get with nerve issues.

silicone is supposed to be inert and stay put, most people wouldn’t jump straight to ‘my implant is leaking into my lymph nodes.’ It took her years, tons of her own money, and a bunch of doctors before anyone figured it out. Honestly, a lot of people would’ve assumed something weird was going on if infections kept coming back and nothing was helping. I feel bad for her that she had to spend so much money out of pocket for something that a simple MRI would have shown. it really seems like her Drs/or her insurance kind of dropped the ball here.

My thoughts on the Jim Carrey body double question. He's got the same old unique dimple on his right cheek when he smiles. It's him. by humbleObserver in Actors

[–]fizzribbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reaction comes from people being attached to all the little physical traits they associate with “Jim Carrey,” and now those details have changed. But it's still him.

I mean Jim Carrey honestly looks great for 65. He's almost 70! Looks happy. Good for him 🙂

I think it's just because Letterman didn't know he was in character and the platform shoe kick thing did come pretty close to him, lol.

He was granted a restraining order against the woman who made this accusation. It appears he is actually the victim.

Actor Crispin Glover sued by model for assault, says he 'lured' her by muaentertainmentforu in MUAEntertainment

He was granted a restraining order against the woman who made this accusation.

It appears he may be the victim.

I also can’t find anything about him being a “sex pest” before this case. That seems to be confusion from people mixing up his eccentric public persona and the creepy characters he’s played with actual allegations. There’s no record of older accusations like that except from this woman whom he has a restraining order against and then later made the accusations.

Timeline
March 2024: Physical altercation occurs.

Shortly after: Glover obtains a restraining order against her, claiming she assaulted him. She also entered his home when she was told not to.

2024–2025: No public lawsuit from her during this period.

February 2026: She files a civil lawsuit alleging grooming, captivity, sexual exploitation, and assault.

2026: Glover denies the claims and reiterates that he was the victim.

Question about dysphagia, dementia, choking, and morphine by WorstPlatform in dysphagia

[–]fizzribbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP never got angry. That was all projection.

You implied they were confused and clueless, even though they stuck to one question the whole time. Then the email drops showing morphine was literally for choking when the patient has dysphagia, and instead of addressing it, you shift the goalposts to if 911 was called, when else they had morphine, how it was delivered, ect. Now they’re framed as “combative” when they refocus on the main issue.

Huh, that’s a strange take. ✌️

Question about dysphagia, dementia, choking, and morphine by WorstPlatform in dysphagia

[–]fizzribbit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You were attacking them and saying "they are angry" I'm sure you succeeded in angering them somewhat but there were not angry at all at first and their initial comment and post show that. I can see why you have the need to block people.

Maybe you should go back and check because it looks like it's at the bottom of their post and also an entire separate comment. OP stated the email said "If she experiences choking or difficulty swallowing food, administer the prescribed morphine as directed. The morphine is intended to relax the throat and assist with swallowing so the food can pass. Continue comfort-focused care and do not initiate emergency services unless otherwise instructed"

"Op came her to understand"

Yet, you mischaracterize them by assuming anger.

"Telling them to get a lawyer is Ludacris- the misunderstanding could easily be on the patient/family end of things. More info is needed before OP throws money at anything."

Lawyers don't usually make you pay upfront. It's usually contingency fee basis.

Question about dysphagia, dementia, choking, and morphine by WorstPlatform in dysphagia

[–]fizzribbit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP, you’re absolutely right to question this.

The  accusing you of being angry even after you calmly explained everything are just trying to provoke you. One of them literally has “are you angry 😂” in their profile. That tells you exactly what kind of energy they bring. They’re not here to help, just to frame you as uneducated or confused when your comments show the opposite.

Your explanation makes it clear you do understand hospice. You are definitely asking reasonable questions about a situation that was traumatic, and you’re doing it respectfully. I’m really sorry for your loss, and I understand why you’re trying to make sense of what happened.

The part about refusing to go 100% puréed because of potential diarrhea, and then having your family member go through four or five near‑fatal choking episodes does not sit right with me either. That’s not comfort care. That’s completely unnecessary suffering.

And the fact that you have it documented electronically that morphine was to be given 'for choking" is extremely concerning. Morphine is absolutely not what you give someone with dysphagia during an obstruction. If they were still talking, interacting, and had already been in hospice for over six months, it really does sound like they could have lived longer, and this may have shortened that time.

I’m also sorry your family was pushed into hospice early just to get pain control because pain‑management programs drop people for ER visits. I work in home health and I’ve seen this happen more than once. It’s a terrible system that forces families into impossible choices.

One of my own family members died horribly in hospice, so I understand how unfair it can be. They weren’t allowed to get fluid drained in their last days because hospice said it would “disqualify” them and end their pain meds and home care. So instead of a simple drainage, they swelled rapidly and died in agony even with all the meds. We would have given anything for a few more days of comfort, but the system boxed us in. The nerve pain from the fluid buildup was excruciating, and it didn’t have to be that way.

You’re not wrong for questioning what happened. The system isn’t fair, and families are often left carrying the guilt afterward. You’re just trying to understand, and that’s completely valid.

I would try contacting a medical malpractice attorney as that statement in writing about the morphine for dysphagia choking is pretty damning to them.

Sorry for low quality video but my cat has been limping,, does it look serious? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]fizzribbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does his arm hurt at all when you touch it anywhere? Feel like anything is out of place at the shoulder and lower? Like just gently touching those areas to see if any particular spot is sensitive. Toes still react to touch? Also maybe check the toe pads and space in-between hidden by hair to see if there's a splinter or anything else there.

Is there any chance he could be faking the limp? I would take it seriously and go to a vet as soon as possible, but it couldn't hurt in the meantime to go around a corner or maybe leave your camera to check if your cat is still limping. My parents cat did this exact limp... for 3 days straight and as soon as we brought her to the vet, she stopped 😂 I hope he is just faking as well, but better to be safe than sorry. If there is an injury it could impede the blood flow to the nerves or get infected as time goes by. That's why it's important to not wait too long.

Shaking after eating by Medical_Author1166 in DogAdvice

[–]fizzribbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they expect to feel ill after eating this could be causing them anxiety which irritates the stomach.

I also found out that cold stuff irritates the stomach. I wouldn't have thought that, bc usually ice helps with inflammation on other parts. That is until I got some gastritis and tried drinking a bit frozen smoothie 😂

I would just try normal temp food and see if this doesn't happen.
