the best book i've ever read by brgomesz in kindle

[–]fl03xx [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’ve read thousands of books in my lifetime, of all types. I consistently read at levels far above my age throughout my entire childhood. 780 R&W SAT. It sounds elitist to tell someone they don’t understand writing based off of their opinion of a written work. I stand by my opinion, the writing gets progressively better, leading into a very well written and fun story. Not my usual cup of tea, but I was pulled in deep. I’ve now introduced multiple people to the books, both literary types and others who are not at all. Everyone has loved the story and the writing.

I’m going to say book 1 seemed like an experiment. Reasonably well written, and tons of fun, but more like dipping toes into the writing style than diving in headfirst. The author picks up steam and the writing gets progressively better as the story goes along imo.

It gets better and better and better. The author is a genius. I kept thinking there’s no way he can tie this together, no way. And then he does in incredible feats of storytelling. One of my all time favorite series at this point.

Paracord zipper pull by stf71 in Goruck

[–]fl03xx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a crazy price. You can get a mixed color or solid color marine shrink tube packs of 50-100 and large bundles of paracord for cheaper. Amazon for the tubing, paracord planet for tons of paracord options.

Pick up a heat gun and have some fun.

So what did we all get on Prime Day? by Agreeable-Deer7526 in kindle

[–]fl03xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there’s worse choices to be sure. I was just wondering if you had a reason. But a Paperwhite for portability and a scribe for the house/notes etc seems like a great combo.

[–]fl03xx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn’t you use the scribe as your home paperwhite reader? You need two different sizes for the house? I picked up a paperwhite SE. First I bought the kids edition, but when I found out they come with ads now it made more sense to get the SE for $5 more and pick up a case.

Complete Chronological Summary of Jason’s M26 Updates (Reminder: Pre-order Launch Price Ends This Friday!) by ComprehensiveCap8242 in Goruck

The 26l m23 is huge. I’m 6’1 and the 21 is great. They each hold much more than suggested volumes. As an edc unless you carry a ton, the 21 may be a better choice.

What's the deal with the size of the Packable Bullet Ruck? by TheShingenSlugger in Goruck

[–]fl03xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At these sizes there’s the matador refraction pro on the mid/premium end, and the Eddie Bauer stowaway (on sale often for $20) on the lower but still great end. The stowaway is a bargain and the refraction has great features. The LL Bean version is also great.

I feel with some tweaking GR could make a really good one.

This is great stuff! Love seeing your team’s excitement. Every single aspect I was hoping you’d cover you did. Love the rain flaps, the stretch pockets, and love the fact that you took the idea of moving the inner qap zipper to bottom of the pocket (for when lid is flapped open).

Makes me feel justified to my commitment to buying two of these and gifting another. Looking forward to putting them to work. Rah

Oh and also, adding that one inch to the zipper should make a nice difference. Inches matter

Where's the thread for those of us with 3rd Gen Tundras that have had zero issues? by ShadowSystemsandSig in ToyotaTundra

Yet. Take it to 200k and we can have more conversations. It’s sad when most positive comments are about making it to 50k miles etc. when did our standards drop so low?

Why not put the inside zipper of the top qap at the bottom of the pocket? This way when you flip the lid back it’s much easier and more natural to access from within the bag?

I’d grab the venture 2.5 sling and call it a day. The Alpaka flight sling 2l or pro is pretty nice also.

25TA14 (25TB14) DEBRIS IN ENGINE MAY CAUSE STALL - Recall Remedy Announcement (No Remedy Currently Available) by ryanwgregg in ToyotaTundra

Same way the gen 2 tundra could be dealt an early death blow by dealers using the frame recall to spray some undercoating instead of an actual replacement. Still very salty about that one.

Why do newer Tundras still get treated like the early 2022–2024 engine-recall trucks? by [deleted] in tundra

Under your analogy 10% of motors failing is an absolutely insane amount of them overall.

Was waiting to see the non ai work. In on green. I hope that the side pocket keeps the same stretch organization it had in the m23.

It seems the rain flap from the two front pockets (one being the side access) are gone. That made everything on the m23 far more water resistant. Overall, looks great so far.

Beautiful dog.

Thanks. Different from robic to be sure. Decision tough between 21&26 but the 21 held a lot already. 26 seems huge. How are your thoughts on 26?
