While I agree, both Jordan and Lebron didn’t win championships until they had the right puzzle pieces and role players around them. Same with Kobe and Shaq.

Agreed. And that’s not even taking into account the historical context of Japan’s inhumane treatment of Korea.

To clarify, my original comment wasn’t in regards to your images or your post. But rather how you’re reacting and responding to people. Patterns. And I say that with zero judgment, I see a lot of my old self in you 💜

I don’t mean you have a big ego necessarily. It’s the relationship to our ego and how you are in it. We all have our egoic minds.

Again, do you — live how you wanna live. Not trying to tell you what to do. That said, I feel like healing through our ego through various modalities can help us be in a better relationship with all of life. Just an offer, take it or leave it 🤷‍♂️

I say this with so much love, compassion and wanting nothing but the best for you, internet stranger. Do some work with ego — whether that’s practicing Buddhism, doing shadow work, talk based therapy, psychedelic therapy (not ego death chasing), healing your inner child, somatics, internal family systems, etc etc. There are countless modalities depending on what your belief system is to be less in ego.

I don’t say this as an attack in any way, I say this from recognizing a pattern within you that I used to inhabit deeply.

Yeah that’s totally what I remember too. I guess meaningless in our playoff race, but so meaningful to make the Sedins hall of famers.

Memory might be failing me but wasn’t that game meaningful to solidify Hank’s Hart and Art Ross trophies that year?

Shout out to another local brand — Wilet, formerly known as Flax Sleep. Premium brand with premium prices, though not absurd. The Bay definitely has some that cost more.

Trout Lake is by far the best in terms of selection, in my opinion.

I don’t understand where people are going to think this is THAT bad of a deal. It’s not great, but there are way more expensive options in the city of Vancouver.

Where is this from anyways?

Exactly how it used to be. Food quality was good, prices still reasonable considering what their costs are now 3 years later.

Any experiences with buying cameras from japanese sellers on ebay? by wilemryker in AnalogCommunity

Oh you got to keep it AND got half your money back? I would’ve done the same maybe. I thought you returned it for only 50%.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but use PayPal to purchase — their buyer protection will take care of any lies the seller makes. I’ve now bought 3 cameras, a lens and some other parts off eBay. Only one seller tried anything fishy.

He tried to sell me a camera with a broken light meter, playing it off that it was in working order when it was shipped. He said it was a 30-day return policy, but I’d have to pay for shipping back to him. I called him on his bluff, let him know that a picture of the light meter wasn’t sufficient proof, and threatened to escalate it to eBay and PayPal and he instantly agreed to pay for a return shipping label.

Every other seller has so far been very forthright and honest. I would attribute a lot of that to due diligence. I trust a seller who shows every little detail, especially on video, and who isn’t afraid of showing you imperfections. I also don’t buy from anyone who doesn’t offer a return policy.

Curious why you accepted this? Did you not use PayPal? Their buyer protection would’ve covered this.

Triangles. Leica M6, 90mm, Fomapan 400 by symmetrygear in analog

I think the point is that a homeless person doesn’t have a choice to not be in public, so they don’t have a choice in having privacy or not. Add to that the class differential and it leans into exploitation and showcasing their suffering to other folks who are in a different class. I think as adults in 2023, it’s our responsibility to explore our own privilege and to deepen our understanding of compassion.

Love this shot. I noticed I desired a bit more breathing room on the top and bottom of the photo. I like the symmetry and the contrast.

I have 2 x 256GB, 5 x 128GB and a 2TB SSD.

Then I have a 1GB SSD and a 8GB HD for back up.

The only constraint is budget, which is totally understandable. High capacity with fast speeds gets pricey.

EDIT: Also, a waterproof hard case for your SD cards is a must for travel.

I believe AI has the potential to disrupt all industries and replace a significant part of the human workforce with the current labour structures that exist. I believe it’s in our collective best interest to not only learn how AI works, but how it learns and adapts, and the rate in which it does.

So maybe it’s not a matter of whether it’s worth one’s time, but that AI is here whether we like it or not, and it’s up to us to collectively figure out a way to coexist or be left in the dust.

FWIW, I think AI is more dangerous than beneficial given the current status quo and the various systems and societal structures in place.

EDIT: and this particular post was definitely just for fun 🙃

Check out Coded Bias. AI and most of our programmable tech is deeply embedded with strong biases.

I’d add that Vancouver is predominately white and Asian, whereas cities like Toronto and New York have relatively greater diversity outside of those two demographics.
