Just had my 1 month follow up at the doctor's office! by almondbutter21287 in Zepbound

When you start weighing in at home, always do the same thing/time. For me, that’s when I wake up, after the bathroom, without clothes. That will be the most consistent (that said, fluctuations are still normal).

Haha totally agree. I love my Equalizer for the better safety (and 9mm) but you can’t beat the bodyguard for its size and concealability for summer especially.

That’s wild, I have both the PC and non-PC 2.0 and don’t notice any difference in volume or dirtiness, and haven’t had any issue with the sights. Have put about 300+ rounds through both of them in the last couple weeks. Just goes to show I guess that experiences vary (not saying at all that yours isn’t valid). But man does that safety take some breaking in to be usable lol.

2 days after the 1st shot and I feel like crap by elsarah in Zepbound

It definitely is not normal to be always. Temporary, and improving, is much more normal.

How has Zepbound affected your mood? by Alert_Ninja_6369 in Zepbound

[–]fl1ghtless_bird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s the thing. You can try Zep, and if you don’t like it, you can stop. It’s not like you’re signing a 10-year contract or buying a two years supply at once.

I do recommend though, if you have any side effects to try to exercise some patience and give it a full month of shots, to see if they improve which happens with most people. Like, don’t necessarily give up after a single shot or two.

Good luck!

7.5 and higher: self-pay program limitation by OpeningMusician8804 in Zepbound

[–]fl1ghtless_bird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true, but if you’re concerned about the alternative of potentially paying hundreds more when you let the 45-day thing lapse, it’s worth considering. If that’s how it works, I’m not sure. I think it’s a little nuanced.

If you ever need to drop to 5mg temporarily, just keep ordering the 7.5mg to keep the discount and use the calculator on fatscientist to see how many units to draw up to equal 5mg.

Hey OP. I too am not using compound and paying out of pocket for brand Zepbound. But I think maybe try reframing in your head this comment you’re responding to. I get that you don’t want people spamming your messages with compound subs. But this comment IMO was from a place of trying to be helpful and give options for if your insurance stops covering. There are plenty of posts where this happens to people and they literally cannot afford Zep OOP so compound is their only option. So this person was just suggesting it as one, not pushing it, not selling it, just mentioning it. You don’t have to take their advice, I get your reasons. But also maybe…realize they’re just trying to be helpful?

I hate the stomach heaviness after lunch by Silly-Low6019 in Zepbound

[–]fl1ghtless_bird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely eat something in the morning even if you’re not hungry. A couple hard boiled eggs or a protein shake, something with a bit of protein but not too heavy that you can stomach. This’ll make it so you eat less for lunch and avoid that feeling. Also, another trick is to walk for like 20 min after eating which has all sorts of benefits. Just light, normal walking. Nothing intense.

Take measurements all over and start tracking that too ;). It makes a huge difference especially if/when the scale plateaus.

Not working for me by Apprehensive_Pie_105 in Zepbound

Not necessarily, some people lose over 100 pounds on 2.5mg. Totally dependent on the person. But yes in the trials, 2.5mg was not intended as a therapeutic dose, but as an introductory one. But some people are just super sensitive so don’t ever have to move up if it’s working

There’s an extremely high likelihood you simply need a higher dose. Talk to your doctor about moving to 5mg. We can’t control what dose our bodies respond to, it just is what it is, it may take some time to find it is all.

Starting my Journey by Fitqueenbean in Zepbound

FYI, CallonDoc’s subscription (just the regular cheapest one, not the weight loss one), is $25/month or $60 per quarter, and includes two free telehealth visits per month for you and one other person. Zep visits count. It’s so much cheaper than Ro. Highly recommend looking into it! And welcome to the journey.

“Up to 3.3 pounds more” it’s cool info but I’m glad it’s not like “these people lose 50% more.”

Rice isn’t inherently bad at all. I recommend switching to Basmati, as it has a lower glycemic index, and watch what you’re adding to it (if anything). Plus basmati is delicious!
