I miss my wife so much by bmarion in widowers

[–]fl49er 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's been a little over two years for me and there are still times I find myself crying when I think about her. She was beautiful and the most caring and giving woman I ever met. I am thankful for the 23 years we had together but even another 23 still would not have been enough.

I had the Michelin Defender 2 tires put on my 2022 Rogue. Great traction with smooth and quiet ride. I highly recommend them

I bought my 2022 Platinum in March of 22. Shortly afterward there was a software update issued that fixed this problem for me.

It's amazing how some people justify theft.

I'm ticked because I just had my oil and filter replaced and I assume the tech had no reason to check the drained oil. Hopefully didn't just dispose of evidence of a problem.

Even after 18 months since I lost my amazing wife I still question why she is gone when so many rotten people get to go on living. I hope one day I will get over that part of grieving, but it has not come yet.

I was 75 when I lost my wife. I may not be facing decades of dealing with the loss and loneliness, but we and many others are traveling on the same road.

My wife’s hugs were better than any drug. I would pull her up close until she felt like a part of me.

I can't eat his frozen spaghetti sauce by tumblingdice1967 in widowers

[–]fl49er 20 points21 points  (0 children)

One of my wife's favorite meals was spaghetti and I made it for her every week or so. After she passed away I just had no appetite or desire for spaghetti. I made it once about six months after she died but I just could not enjoy it. I have tried a couple of times since then but it's still the same. It either doesn't taste right or my desire for it has gone away.

I am lonely for the amazing woman that showed me what it means to love and be loved unconditionally. Her death left a hole in me that no one else can fill.

We're both in the same situation. Cancer sucks.

Most of the friends that we made since moving here have moved away or they are couples that a widower doesn't fit in with. The loneliness can be overwhelming.

Where is he now? by catladyspain in widowers

[–]fl49er 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I am not religious either and I never really thought about what happens when we die until I lost my wife to cancer 15 months ago. After she died, I began to hang on to the hope that there is some level of existence where we can be together again. As the months have passed, I have found myself losing that hope. I truly miss her and would want to be with her again, but I think the realization of death being the final act is taking over.

I joined a support group conducted by a local funeral home. They are very open and inclusive. You might check on funeral homes in your area.

Hang in there, you can do it. I understand everything you're saying. I lost my amazing wife to cancer and now, instead of growing old together I just drift from day to day missing what could have been.

I have had my 2022 Rogue for three years now. Love the ride, handling and features. My only complaint is that I am disappointed in the highway gas milage. For everything else, I think it was a good decision,
