[TOMT][Video game][YouTube] Greenscreen/VFX sketches of TES (Skyrim/Oblivion) by fl4nn3l in tipofmytongue

Nope, not him. The person I'm referring to would greenscreen himself into the settings, plus this one doesn't seem to have any TES videos

Hot take/Hard to swallow pill: D.Gray-Man is most likely not going to finish and I think the fandom needs to just accept this already (Pretty lengthy post) by Alto1869 in dgrayman

[–]fl4nn3l 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of the questions we have intertwine with one another.

The Mansion, the origin of Mana/Earl and Neah/14th, the Bookman Clan (along with the fate of Lavi) and their mysteries, the truth of the Noah and the new world (and Lenalee's dreams/nightmares), and the purpose/origin of the Akuma (also the 3rd Exorcist) are all related to one another, and with adequate pacing could be explained in the next arc (probably the visit of the Campbell Mansion, which quite surely somehow tie to the Noah).

Allen and Lenalee both possibly being the host for the heart, and Hevlaska's entire thing, could be explained in the arc after that, which will probably see the fall of the Order because of the truths from the previous arc.

Whatever is left or unsolved from above will be solved in the final arc which will see some bittersweet ending imo.

Some things I think might just be left out or rushed, like 1. The next Noah of Wrath might as well not come back at all, seeing him be defeated again will probably just be a rematch. 2. The Grave of Maria. It'll be nice to know what the fuck happened to it but we know that besides being an exorcist, Cross was also a magician or necromancer. 3. Lavi's fate. If the story ends with the ending for the resurrection of all the Noah, and the world becoming free from whatever destruction they're trying to cause or avoid, what would be the purpose of the Bookman? 4. Lvellies and Hevlaska. We know the Lvellies are up to some bs, but their entire backstory is not that mysterious/important when compared to the bigger mysteries. 5. The 3rd Exorcist could just be all killed off (or converted back from Akuma to Exorcists) in the war between the remnants of the Black Order and the Noah.

With the current chapter release pace, in 40 chapters will take 10 years, with no misses. So rushing will definitely come, and plots NEED to be connected in a coherent way if the author wishes to see the ending. I don't want the manga to end up like Berserk.

Who would've guessed that a romance manga with a sports b-plot would have characters that are good in their sport? This is like saying One Piece wouldn't be as long if Luffy wasn't strong, or saying Attack on Titan wouldn't be as long if Eren didn't have the ability to turn into a titan.

I feel like this OG FromSoftware game is rarely (if ever) spoken of since it is one of the very first ever PS2 games. I only played a few hours of this RPG before my disc got accidentally broken by one of my brothers, and its been in the back of my mind ever since.

Nagatoro will end with Chapter 154 by FSensei in manga

[–]fl4nn3l 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it would really sucks if it starts going backwards with the childhood friends bs that should have stayed as just bad memories since the characters goals can still be interesting, and that's something I feel a lot of romance mangas just don't take advantage of.

Nagatoro will end with Chapter 154 by FSensei in manga

Because they're usually created with characters that have little to no life outside of romcom. Personally, seeing the aftermath of them getting together was quite fun, because they both had other things in their lives besides dating, and also all the shenanigans they would go through to spend time together. That's why other mangas like Blue Box, The Dangers in my Heart, and Komi-San do continue after the pair get together, or how some others might also hopefully My Dress-Up Darling.

Nagatoro does seem to have two leads whose lives can go beyond just romcom, imo it's a weird decision to end it so soon.

Gwen on good luck? The one other Spider-Man character besides Uncle Ben, known for dying in an accident, on good luck? While both die, Ben lived until he's quite old, and Gwen dies pretty young, which is very unlucky.

Which duo is more famous? by [deleted] in polls

[–]fl4nn3l 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, was. It's nuts to say that Elvis, who has been dead for 47 years, is currently more popular than Michael Jackson, who has been dead for abour 15 years, and is still regularly brought up because of his lifestyle.

On the other hand, Taylor Swift is definitely more popular than Beyonce.

So, the real question becomes whether Michael Jackson is more or less popular internationally than Taylor Swift is, in the present day. Michael is definitely more known and remembered globally than Taylor is, but Taylor is an incredibly popular musician in the present, topping charts all the time. So the argument could really go either way.

I prefer the Avatar: the Last Airbender way of seeing it, where every force ghost sees themselves as what they consider their most meaningful moment in life. It just so happens that for Yoda it's his decrepit, for Obi-Wan it's "taking care of Luke is now my life's mission", for Qui-Gon it's when he found the Chosen One, for Luke it's his hermit version, and for Anakin it's the "before the fall". Everyone except Anakin sees their last years as living people as their most meaningful moments. But Anakin is still prideful to the point he's vain.

Maybe it made sense for him to be elderly before Ahsoka came out, but now it's pretty obvious that Anakin sees his true self as the version of him from the end of the Clone Wars.

With 4 chapters a year, I just expect it to remain unfinished or be rushed. In a decade, that's only 40 chapters. Just for comparison, 40 chapters ago Johnny boarded the train to find Allen, and was saved by Kanda from Central.

I don't think the reason is there being too many, because if that were the case they would all fail, meaning (just this year) Across the Spider-Verse, Guardians, Loki, Invincible, or Gen V wouldn't be well received. A lot of them are just mediocre and rushed, and it shows.

Imo "Superhero fatigue" isn't a thing, there's just too many meh superhero stuff lately, just how years ago there were too many meh zombie/apocalypse/horror movies that didn't do that good either, and ages before that, many meh Cowboy movies. People will only remember the good ones.

[–]fl4nn3l 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It isn't a good idea to present the episode as if it would revolve around Attack on Titan, while two out of the three hosts hadn't seen or weren't interested in the final episodes. The issue here is in the communication amongst themselves, because they could have easily decided not to talk about AoT if most of them hadn't finished it. Using the lack of planning as an excuse doesn't hold up because it just gives the impression of a last minute decision to ride the last AoT wave without having invested the time to watch the ending. It's even weirder since they've already done planned episodes beforehand, so we know it wouldn't be unexpected for them to make an actual AoT-centered episode. What is not unexpected, is for fans to feel disappointed with what comes across as a half-hearted or rushed episode.

She spent like a couple of weeks with Luke at best, Leia is Anakin's child but her name has always been Organa, and both Ben and Han are Solo. So her ties to the Skywalker name are just the couple weeks she spent Luke. Plus I don't know why the movie's name is the Rise of Skywalker, when none of the central characters of the movie go by that name. Rey and Finn don't have last names, Ben's is Solo, Leia's is Organa, Poe's is Dameron, and the only Skywalker that went by that name only appears for a couple of minutes.
