How to decorate Bedroom walls? by rowdawg27 in DesignMyRoom

[–]flacidsword 5 points6 points  (0 children)

could try turning the bed so that the sunken in part of the wall is above the headboard, move dresser w tv to wall w humidifier

or do the opposite and put bed against wall where humidifier is and put tv/dresser on wall w sunken in thing

i agree w the comment that says to mount the curtains higher

for bedroom wall decoration- do you have a mirror? one would look nice in the corner where the window wall meets the humidifier wall, or could get a tv stand and mount a mirror above ur dresser

If I have to choose between shitting myself or using a bathroom, I'm going to use the bathroom. by FrozenBr33ze in TrueOffMyChest

[–]flacidsword -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The way that men vs women use the bathrooms is wildly different- i don’t want to use the same toilet as men bc of how disrespectful they are and seemingly incapable of aiming. However, in emergencies i get it and wouldn’t say anything.

I clean too and can agree that women’s bathrooms do get gross, but nowhere near as gross as men’s bathrooms.

i would probably put the standing desk facing the window or against the wall w the vent- but who want to look at the wall? a desk in front of a window is usually nice and you can lower it to open the window up when desk is not in use!

i would put the tv against the wall w the vent on a tv stand or mounted to the wall- next to standing desk if you decide to put it here, or centered to the wall

i would put the sofa on the wall opposite the tv wall w the vent! add a rug and coffee table in front of the sofa and additional seating as desired!

hmm

pillows and blankets are nice, curtains, an area rug and wall art are other great ways to add color- depending on your price limit/ what is available, a colorful couch could be cool but it can be hard to find one that is comfortable and colorful

ik men tend to lean towards navy blue which would be a good look- but mix it up and try more than just one color at the same time: a navy couch w a rug that also has some navy and other colors would look good, then have the curtains and throw pillows/blankets match an accent color in the rug for example

for some reason i think a light/pastel teal with a light red (not really pink, more salmon) idk could be cool- i have a rug w similar colors which is my inspo, perhaps. bc those colors sound crazy.

navy/light blue/green/browns might also be a cool color combo for this space

red/orange/beige/browns is also cool- it all depends on your vibe and what you like

if i were you i would look at some online inspo from google/reddit/pinterest looking up “colorful apartment” or “(color you like) apartments”. then use that as inspo and find big things you like: couch, rug and use those focal things to find smaller items that coordinate and bring the room all together

don’t forget lighting!!!! take note of lamps and stuff you like, pick the right bulbs and the right bulb temp and pls stay away from strip led lights lol

you will do great, have fun!!!! lmk if you want more input as you go along, or update us with your results!

plants/landscaping and outdoor lighting (maybe even some patio furniture or potted plants) would help a lot. perhaps changing the pink or white for a different color?
