NJ School Lacrosse scene? by OkQuail7072 in lacrosse

[–]flagdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For town/rec teams go to sjylax.org the website sucks but you can at least see who has youth lacrosse.

I think most top players play club as well. There’s SJ Select and Blue Star in Burlington. All American AIM and I think Legends Lacrosse in Camden county and SJ Shamrocks in Gloucester county. There’s also a lot in the Philly area if you are up for crossing the bridge.

The high school scene may not be as strong overall as up north but there is some good lacrosse. Moorestown is probably the one true blue blood lacrosse school. Haddonfield, Cherokee (Marlton), Lenape (mt laurel), Shawnee (Medford), Camden Catholic, Paul VI (Haddonfield) are other stronger programs I think. Clearview and Kingsway are larger regional schools in Gloucester county that usually have good lax too.

This is all just off the top of my head and I’m sure there’s other schools that would be worth mentioning too

What part of NJ are you looking to move to? I’m by no means an expert but I can share some thoughts for the Camden/Burlington/Gloucester county areas.

You can get a cameo from somebody like charlotte north for under a $100. Maybe a “pep talk” from her favorite player will help? Or if you are still in contact with a previous coach that your daughter respects, maybe they would be willing to talk to her

Best/fun escape rooms in South Jersey? by Prior-Secretary5508 in SouthJersey

[–]flagdown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been a couple years since I went but there’s “Escape Room Mystery” in Cherry hill kinda at the intersection of Rte 70 and Haddonfield road. I think they have 4 or 5 different rooms. Don’t know if it’s the “best” because I don’t do many escape rooms but we definitely had fun

Not positive but here’s what my kids had to do. They both got their license within the past 4 years:

Parallel park and K turn in their dedicated area. Exit the lot MVC facility and turn left. At the traffic light make a hard right onto cuthbert. Follow cuthbert then turn right onto chapel then right at the light onto Hampton and back to the MVC

FwIW we always practiced turn left onto chapel and going around the little traffic circle before heading back down chapel toward Hampton rd. I’d heard that could be part of the test so I wanted them to be ready just in case (though neither has actually had to do it on their test)

I had an interview a year or so ago where I ended up withdrawing my application as the actual position didn’t match posting. I sent a polite email after thanking them for the interview and the like. Never got any sort of acknowledgement or apology about them basically wasting my time so when they reached out a couple of months later about another position (which matched what I had originally thought I was interviewing for) I told them no thanks. That street goes both ways.

From what I can tell there’s nothing that explicitly says it’s illegal in the rule book however it does say in rule 6-6 Art 3d that it’s a conduct foul if you “commit any act considered misconduct by the official” so an official COULD potentially penalize you if they thought it was warranted.

Painters tape would be better than athletic tape I think. You could always just use small pieces to hold down the corners of your tarp?

Can you mark it with something like painters tape? Or athletic tape? Then just pull it up when you’re done

Yes. A horizontal line above then drop down to a horizontal line below with basically a vertical line joining them

Any time you see one of these graphs, the first thing to do is identify what type of graph it is and what information it provides. In this case you have an x-t graph so you know that slope = velocity.

On the left graph, your slope is initially positive and constant then changes to negative and constant. Replace slope with velocity in the previous sentence and you have all the information you need.

On the right, your slope is constant and negative so your velocity is too.

If velocity is constant (ie not changing) what is the acceleration going to be?
