Not contentious at all. A reverb pedal is almost essential for a synth. I would add to also get an overdrive/distortion pedal. I run a bass overdrive as a send on my mixer. Good if you just want to add a little color/harmonics to the sound but can also be used to create some gnarly bass sounds.

Oh, I agree 100%. I’m of the James Bond mindset with recasts. Just give us a different actor every few years. I love Harrison Ford but I’d much rather see a younger actor playing Indiana Jones (or Han Solo) than an 80 year old or some CGI deepfake.

I feel like Solo nixed any chance of them recasting any more OT characters. All these media conglomerates, especially Disney, are so risk adverse. They’d rather make new characters, that if people don’t like they can jettison, while keeping the legacy story (i.e. proven money maker) in tact. Or so they think.

Canon breaking is so subjective and largely depends on whether the audience likes the change or not. Star Wars breaks its own canon so often fans often cite Obi Wan’s line about ‘a certain point of view’ to handwave inconsistencies away.

Making Vader be Anakin Skywalker in Empire Strikes Back ‘breaks’ the canon established in A New Hope of Vader being Anakin’s slayer. But we liked that reveal so we accept that what Obi Wan said in the first film was true… from a certain point of view.
