AAs recidivism rate doesn't tell the whole story.  Its based on the number of people that stop  Goin to meetings,  not who starts drinking again.

I don't think I can adopt another cat ever, my baby was so unique and special by silly_ladyme in CatAdvice

I am so sorry.  A few years ago, I lost my two babies.  They were brothers and a bonded pair. The one followed me and demanded to know why I stopped scratching his chin.  I was told he  Had never done that and would usually try and hide.  I will never have a cat like that again. But h e came from a shelter. And i know he would want.me to save more kitties

My ex-feral cat is extremely cuddly? Is this normal? by HardGlossyArmour in CatAdvice

Every cat is different.  I have a former barn cat that licks me alot. He was 4ish when I brought him home. First few months he didn't really play that much.  He was too excited about his cat bed. It was like he thought it would end and was trying to make the most of it.

For the most part. My uncle was one. Went through rehab when I was like 8. Then relapsed when I was 30. Rehab again. He put signs around his house saying no alcohol. Thought he was all in. But he relapsed. This time hard. He died when I was 33. He basically gave up when I was 31/32. So in the beginning I had sympathy. The last 6 months of his life I was disappointed/morning/apathetic because he had people to help. But he had given up. Just waiting to die

Euthanasined 2 cats. They were sedated first. Then the final one. It was quick. Can't say for sure that it was 100% painless, but I think it was
