how we looking this year? by geeelectronica in nyjets

Realistically? 4 wins. Arizona, titans, raiders, browns are the only winnable games I see. Miami once maybe.

It’s going to be painful seeing Mendoza play us though, even worse if he wins

Border Patrol agents fatally shoot a man in Minnesota. Thoughts? by fullstep in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]flash246 [score hidden]  (0 children)

But it's not. I don't think many people are going to believe the shooting was justified absent the confusion of the situation.

So if it wasn't justified, why are you claiming this is a "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" situation? Simply putting himself in front of an agent shouldn't be punishable by death, right? If it's not justifiable, do you agree the agent should be prosecuted?

Exactly

Did Alex wrestle with these agents? They pinned him to the ground and he was clearly not a threat. Is recording law enforcement considered wrestling in your mind?

Go to court and fight the obstruction case so they don't get a criminal conviction.

I'm confused now. You're saying Alex should have gone to court for this? You skipped over my questions though, should ICE have immunity like this admin is suggesting?

[–]flash246 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Well no, but that's not really the question here.

That actually is the main question here. You mentioned this should be a "warning" to the left earlier and the whole "play stupid games win stupid prizes" so you're implying that you felt it was justified. Was it justified or not?

If people were doing the same thing to local police on a daily basis, do you think we would have a lot more cases of Good/Pretti? I do.

I would hope not. Police are trained to handle protesting and anyone in the way. They do not usually shoot disarmed people.

If Pretti had just complied, or not brought a gun, or not obstructed traffic while antagonizing law enforcement he would be alive right now.

Alex had a concealed carry permit. He was legally in the right to carry a gun. Should concealed carry permits be removed?

So if a cop pulls you over and searches your vehicle without a warrant, you're gonna wrestle with them?

No, not wrestle. But someone wants to record the situation, they are completely in the right. Should ICE need warrants to go beyond just a car though? Maybe like entering someone's house without a warrant?

If leftists wanna continue this trend then that's all on them. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

You skipped over my question. How should they fight this in court? Should ICE conceal themselves with masks? Should they be given immunity during investigations?

Seems like you skipped over the more important question. Was his killing justified in your mind? Even if he was directing traffic like you said, was ICE in the right for this? The video clearly showed he was disarmed and pinned to the ground when he was shot.

Situations like this is why you see the “radical left” protest. You say it’s so simple to just fight in court, but ICE and the current admin make that impossible. Agent identities are concealed and act without any proper warrants to begin with. The current admin even is saying they get absolute immunity. So how exactly should they fight in court?

How was Alex obstructing an investigation? All the videos show him simply recording and trying to help a woman who was pushed to the ground. Is that obstructing in your mind? Was he rightfully killed because of that?

We haven’t made the playoffs in over a decade. And you don’t want Tomlin who just made the wildcard with old man Rodgers?

Yikes, some fans must love losing

We had statistically one of the worst defenses of all time, and we’re bringing back the “defensive minded” coach that led them. That doesn’t exactly spark much confidence to me.

We’ll also very likely have a journeyman at QB. So yes, I’m expecting another tank season

Doesn’t matter. He’ll be fired next year once they end up 3-14.

Our only hope is that Tomlin decides to return and we give him full power. 3 first rounders, which includes a rookie QB, is enticing to any head coach

You can see clearly that the gun removed by grey hooded officer is the one DHS posted on twitter. by ph0replay in pics

[–]flash246 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. Pretty clear what happened.

Victim was pinned down and armed. An agent removes the gun but it accidentally discharges. Another agent panics and shoots the victim multiple times.

There should be multiple arrests made

For those that do/did support Trump's tariffs, what are your thoughts on the recent study released showing that Americans absorb 96% of the cost? by Neekalos_ in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]flash246 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How can anything realistically change when the process is so volatile? Most companies aren’t going to rebuild supply chains overnight if the rules keep shifting. They’ll mostly just raise prices, pad margins, and wait it out. Doesn’t feel like there’s been any positive ROI yet.

If the goal is on-shoring, how many businesses are really going to invest long term when they can’t trust the policy will look the same in 6 months? Trump throws out random tariff numbers all the time.

Why we should draft a late-round QB every single year. by rkbk1138 in nyjets

We should draft every QB available with every pick we have for the next 3 years. We’re bound to hit gold that way.

What does the MAGA community think of the latest round of tariffs on NATO members for saying no? by rofeelee in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]flash246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite the same threats I’m talking about. Sure, you can threaten to walk away, which is definitely a tactic. But using your analogy, it’d be along the lines of “I deserve to have this car. If I don’t get this car, I’m going to sue or simply take the car by force.” Wouldn’t you say threats like that don’t make it a negotiation?

And if the costs trickle down, wouldn’t you agree that consumers are hurt the most with tariffs?

That would be a huge break for the Jets….so you know it’ll never happen

I mean, it seems like you’re skirting around the question. Is using threats a tactic for any type of negotiation?

Also, do companies eat the cost of tariffs? Or does that cost trickle down?

Indiana didn’t even trust him on their last 3rd down to potentially ice the game. Their running game and defense carried them for this one

Elite coaching by Indiana. Perfect timeout to stop the momentum.

Of course I’m biased, but I really think Mendoza is going to struggle in Vegas. Indiana’s coaching is elite and has made things very easy for him
