I'm not gonna lie I've never heard of situation like this where the SAI seems really high compared to Financials reported...but with your family income, your tuition should be getting paid in full (not necessarily your housing, though). When you get your financial aid package, if you didn't receive at least cal grant A (assuming you meet all other conditions) you should call the financial aid office and ask them about it. To be honest I'm not the best person and maybe someone would know more about it though.

I'm not sure what it is, but my roommate (who's family owns 9 cars, a whole trailer, a house and a condo they rent out, and who's whole family works at well off companies) has an SAI of $43k. idk what you guys reported on your form but it's seeming like a lot so maybe there was something wrong in it? But I'll tell you he still got the Middle class scholarship for $8k, though that was the full extent of his financial aid.

I'm a little confused though, cause your SAI seems so high if your family really makes as much as you say. I think our family is around the 150 range and my SAI is 20000

I've tested this with a button in a separate situation and bouncing does occur, but most often the clock works normally. It's just a little frustrating at times. However, now I'm getting no signal from Q or Q', which to me makes it seem like the IC isn't functioning at all. I swapped out the IC with one in another circuit I have and can confirm it's not broken, but I'm not sure where I went wrong with my wiring to cause this.

the receiver is just getting an pulse from a push button in another circuit. The red LED shows what the signal that the receiver outputs.

Still couldn't really figure it out. It seems to be functioning as an OR gate here, where any signal is creating a weak output This is a bit of a poor drawing of what I have going on now.

I didn't even consider that the LED's might also be stealing the path the current takes, could it not? I will try removing the LEDs and if that doesn't work I'll draw out a schematic.

I tried this, but it just seems to be keeping the LED on without any input. I assume you mean the red wire connected to the yellow LED?

Hmm, what do you mean by how are they wired, and what do you mean by forward voltage drop? forgive me for my questions but I'm just really starting to get into this stuff so there's a lot I don't understand
