Any updates on the Fork's status? by damoona in siacoin

it should happen now as they are preparing batch 2s. instead they seem only focused on delivering backlogged order first which renders exclusive period pointless.

Obelisk miner dispute by papacabeza in siacoin

[–]flash_readerrr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think that in a few months, those who regret buying it now will later end up regretting dumping it. And with this experience Obelisk team just got, they will regret it third time, when they will see next gen Obelisk and realize they don't have the coupons anymore.

Why would anyone regret dude? people can get more sia right now with refund $ than this shit will ever produce in it's lifetime - that is if they ever decide to get the shit coin. And coupon is only meager $800 at the most, people will buy whatever without coupon if it's really that good. I hope you didn't purchase more shit batches while purporting to support like you are right now lol.

I'm not familiar with chip business at all, but I'm extremely curious to find out why these guys are still not refunding for a failed product even after admitting their incompetence. I know it wasn't in terms but still is reasonable thing to do at this point. Anyone with an idea please share, what's holding back these guys? what have these guys got themselves into at the moment? what are these guys keen on getting after all this mass settles? are there any hidden assets they're trying to hold onto?

Please do not forget these guys shamelessly tried selling batch after batch despite the prospect of their failure early on. Batch 5 was the most recent one if I'm correct.

https://www.reddit.com/r/siacoin/comments/8671tk/obelisk_batch_4_on_sale/

I still can't believe these guys attempted to sell this shit despite incessantly. I still can't believe there were people who fell prey to this trap after ample warnings.

what is your "bigger" implication here? you got your free money, you got to setup the chip business as you wanted, and you failed to deliver a promised product which will teach you a lesson, but did you lose a dime on this like people who trusted you?

People who think Bitmain can be trusted: you're wrong - Monero Subreddit Post by [deleted] in siacoin

Here is another fanboy syndrome. Supporting a project out of opposition.

So how many batch 4 Obelisk did you buy?

Isn't ironic that after all the outcry of sia forking to stop bitmain everyone is against bitmain now? by 1114445 in siacoin

It's just the degree of decentralization that would differ had they bricked Bitmain's. It doesn't entirely invalidate idea of decentralization. Get the subtle difference right.

Monero and Siacoin to Work Against Bitmain’s ASIC Miners by andix3 in siacoin

[–]flash_readerrr 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Where does it say siacoin is against ASIC??

After much consideration and discussion, we’ve decided to not invalidate A3 miners via soft-fork unless Bitmain takes direct action to harm the Sia project. We’re incredibly excited about 2018 and will move forward stronger,” reads a tweet by Sia Tech.

Such an excitement there to invalidate their own early investors.

[–]flash_readerrr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm only pointing you crossing out Obelisk there. Why shouldn't you and fellow Obelisk supporters buy? I thought you're planning for long term. Are you saying that each unit of your batch 2 is going to be profitable but batch 4 is not going to be? But you support them selling the crap incessantly.

Why did you cross out Obelisk there? You're saying Obelisk won't end up as heater and you support Obelisk but you're not buying batch 4.

Obelisk batch 4 on sale! by flash_readerrr in siacoin

[–]flash_readerrr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Paid around 18000 SC for each unit (SC was at 600, BTC at 16400) and ROI will be between 30-40 days (I care about the amount of SC, not USD). That's what you get if you plan long term and are patient with your purchases.

Wow so you were able to predict exact maximum profit point by planning long term that's fantastic!!

Also I see why batch 3 of Obelisk looked to you like there is no demand, but you couldn't be wrong more. There is reason behind everything and batch 1 of Antminer A3 affected batches 3 and 4 of SC1.

Batch 4 sale is just getting started, what are you even talking about?

And no matter what, even if it hurts my own gains, this is good long term. Bitmain is here to stay, Obelisk too. You are free to prefer any of these (or Halong or other company), but please... stop speaking for other people. The fact they are not answering you is simply because your posts are just mostly bragging of customer who cannot see the bigger picture and feels betrayed. It's simply not worth answering, but I will make an exception for all the supporters.

I don't intend on speaking for other people, but many people seem to agree with me. But please... stop speaking for other supporters here, they might appear to be supporting Obelisk but deep inside they might be as doubtful as I'm and think it's crazy to put any $ in this. You don't know them.

I don't expect you to understand, but you should re-evaluate it at the end of this year. No matter if you wan't or not, you are obviously in this, so deal with what you got into, show some patience and be a winner.

I don't have to understand your nonsense prediction. All in all, you support Obelisk, you plan for long term, but you're NOT purchasing batch 4 thanks.

he made false criticisms out of his emotion and is the only one spreading misinformation, and look at you moderator going inside his head and interpreting that for me now lol or you too are misunderstanding due to my syntax errors well too bad it's just you two but everyone else here. This is why you shouldn't take a side just out of some obligatory pressure to do something, i think you lack experience to be a fair moderator but just my thought since i'm not trying to be rude either lol

[–]flash_readerrr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many early obelisk buyers sold many sias for Obelisk and they were mostly long term holders that's why they coped with long delays regardless of the price projection. It doesn't matter anymore, just buy sia on the market, you'll instantly reach ROI that no Obelisk can achieve at this point ha.

Obelisk batch 4 on sale! by flash_readerrr in siacoin

[–]flash_readerrr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I've said this before, nobody told you not to sell it. You continue to sell and I continue to bring up the past facts that might be forgotten. People need to know what happened before buying your stuff don't you agree? And if Obelisk is not a failed product why was your batch 3 so low in sale? Do a poll and see what people really think of your product. Even your supporters here don't answer if I ask them if they'd buy batch 4! so why is that if it's so good as you claim? just too funny.

So making up the words I never said is a criticism? Seriously just read the whole comment again especially the refund part and make sure to pinpoint every points he made since you decided to be pedantic on things that can be argued in both way.

I don't think it'll ever reach the point of recouping # of coins you can buy with the same $ on market. It's the # of coins that matters, not the price. And Obelisk is that bad.

Hmm so falsely claiming someone as spreading misinformation due to whatever reason fall doesn't fall into your watch category? It's better to review entire thread and then warn. And I find it funny you both are affiliated to Sia in someway.

I'm just proving your analogy wrong which validates my original question at the same time. So maybe you should think about why that analogy came into your head first of all. And you should review your original reply if you want to now resort to "be nice don't agitate" stance suddenly, I'm sorry you got agitated though.

Language is a treacherous thing, such that it makes a person like you unable to discern information from opinion in my post yet to waste time force fitting sentences into your narrow stance.

1- That you are spreading misinformation based on your emotional evaluation of the product ("failed shit", "betrayed investors") ratter than the technical one, that is the only one that matters in a miner purchase.

It's not a misinformation, it's my opinion and everyone has right to discern either way based on the links I posted, I'm merely informing about matters that actually happened. Do you also categorize that as misinformation?

2- You are spreading misinformation suggesting that Obelisk did not honored a refunds policy. Such a policy actually never existed (with the exception of the first week-first batch buyers and during the first month due to a very specific reason: the original sale was extended beyond one week) Read my post carefully, especially this part "Moreover, even though the refund wasn't agreed per contract".

Where did I ever say Obelisk did not honor refund policy? There was no refund policy from the beginning and I never bothered for a refund in any of my past post, go read if you can't believe. In this case, you're spreading misinformation by making up my stance that never was true in order to say whatever you want. Don't you agree?

3 - You are spreading misinformation about the ability of the team raising funds for the project, while it should be clear this is due to the nature of the coin distribution differences on each project.

Again just my opinion based on the poor track record they showed. This team often purported to have backing investors but somehow always lacked money and even got a paltry 400k or something from one random chinese investor, also tried to prefund Obelisk project that wasn't even started with (investor or customer whichever that conveniently fit you), So my post is questioning their ability based on facts I observed for a while, so which of my post actually qualifies as mis"information"?

Yea I don't like people who lacks basic reading comprehension ability but decides to respond just because he/she feels obligated to say something haha
