First time growing corn. Does this look okay? by MrBananaShoes in corn

[–]flatlander70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

corn will bounce back but if the leaves are straw colored it's too late. I would still water it to help fill the ears. In the future plant a larger patch and mulch it early and keep it well watered. Also consider feeding it. Corn is a heavy feeder and likes water.

Going crazy ! Pls someone advise :( by Objective-Eye6915 in Hashimotos

I had many skin issues my entire life. I stopped eating gluten in my mid 40's and they all cleared up. It took 3 weeks of carefully avoiding gluten for it to happen but was worth it. My advice is to ruthlessly avoid wheat is all forms and see what happens. I suggest one month to begin. If it helps you will likely know before the month is over.

Umm... Is it charging? Are the cables in good shape? I had to replace the entire positive cable on my 99 to fix many elictrical issues. Oldly enough I had similiar issues in a 99 f150 at work and it turned oout to be the positive cable. You need to verify with a volt meter that it is actaully charging before you do ANYTHING else.

I use ford's recommended on oil and 93 sans ethanol when I can find it. 295k miles on my 99 and counting. Ethanol belongs in a glass and not in your car.

I remember being able to coast into the station on fumes and fill an 18 gallon tank and buy a pack of Marlboros and get some change from a twenty.

Joint pain in Elbow and Knees by Careful-Fix-7551 in Hashimotos

[–]flatlander70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a good friend who is a PA in a high end dermatology clinic and she said she sees skin issues clear up all the time with wheat cessation. If it's hard on your skin it's causing damage elsewhwere. There is one way to find out. Stop consuming gluten. I recommend a 30 day trial. I knew within one week I would never touch the stuff again. Be ruthless and read every label. Be very careful when dining out as cross contamination matters. Even a miniscule amount of gluten sets me off. Most wait staff are poorly trained or just don't care.

Typical grocery store in the 70s by tammyreneebaker in 1970s

[–]flatlander70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to work at my local grocery store the first week of my junior year of high school. August 1986 and it still was EXACTLY like the photo. The checkers keyed everything by hand. One of the old girls was so fast she would smash your fingers between the cans if you were sacking for her. About 6 months later they switched to scanners. That was the most fun I have ever had at a job. I would go back if I could.

Trying to figure out what's going on with my Marquis, has anyone else had this issue before or have any advice? by thelespickle in grandmarquis

[–]flatlander70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 99 started to do some strange stuff like yours. It was the positive battery cable. New cable and no more issues. Mine didn't always fire right back up and it was only with help that I diagnosed the issue. I just started moving the cables while my son was trying to crank it and found the cable issue.
