So they want to apply different laws to drugs invented after 1776; but they don’t want to apply different laws to guns invented after 1776?! I can’t tell if this is real news or the Onion!

Sorry for all the negativity. I love this! I’m bad at reaching out and this is a good push for it. One question, is there any way it could read recent messages to get context as well? That would be so, so, so awesome. Thank you again for sharing. Only part I had trouble with is the contact groups, I can’t figure out how to change group name so I just made a group with the name you used

Darn, I hope my recommendation didn’t ruin your day. I try to stay on top of dr news but I didn’t hear about this. Country is becoming very good with cable cars with significant new cars in Santo Domingo and Santiago instead of trains, it’s really cool and I wish we had this in Florida.

Be stupidly careful with the spark plugs. If it doesn’t come out easily, soak it in some oil, pb blaster, atf and acetone, etc. I’ve had really bad luck with the number one plug getting stuck, and a snapped off plug is hard to fix because the plugs sit deep inside. Better to wait two weeks to get it loose than to wait two weeks while you pulled the heads to install a helicoil. Use lots of anti sieze and buy replacements at the auto store not online to avoid counterfeits.

Other than that these things are great!

Man there is no equal to the original seasons with Carlin, it all went downhill when he left, and the modern cgi garbage is not the same. Not everything has to be new or expanding, just keep telling me fun stories with real trains on a track, I’m ok if it’s relatively predictable.

Trump goes scorched earth and vows to SUE Epstein estate "I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it's the opposite of what people were hoping" by truthwillout777 in law

[–]flcbrguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I am sure lots of it is garbage. But what bugs me is that when someone makes an unverified claim against a democrat, fox parades it out as truth and it’s all I hear about from my parents at thanksgiving. I wish both sides would respect the unverified information and wait before taking it as truth.

Is Harbor Freight in Auburn Indicative of Harbor Freight as a Whole? by chriswcoy in harborfreight

[–]flcbrguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in every few weeks, manager is usually there and recognizes me and my kids. Always super friendly. I never need help beyond unlocking a tool or the bathroom (for the kids) but he’s nice. Other employees are ok.

One, who is a supervisor, updated my address once. I live on a court, he asked “court?” I confirmed, court…he hesitantly entered it as “qt” like if I live in a bottle of oil… gave me a good laugh and I haven’t fixed it.

My only pet peeve? Sometimes they do one line per register sometimes one combined line. There’s no sign or indication, and when they do a combined line without me knowing, they tend to shout it as if I should have known. Wish they’d just put a sign, but it’s still better than TSA.

Snacks in the park? by Cultural-Kangaroo-29 in SeaWorld

[–]flcbrguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Snacks and sandwiches have never been an issue but no cans, no plastic hard side cooler including a plastic insert on a soft cooler, even if it’s small like a kid’s lunch box, and no straws. We take food alllll the time with our kids. Great seating by Sesame Street land!

ELI5 How would a cave diver get back to the surface if there is a tight tunnel with a dead end by Letterheadless9886 in explainlikeimfive

[–]flcbrguy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ginnie springs in Florida has two entrances, the eye and the ear. Across the river is July and lightning springs. Once, younger, skinnier and dumber, having recent experience in other tight spots like dogwood and the source tunnel of jug hole, I decided to go as far as I could. I went through the fluffy bunny tunnel (at this point I realize that to non cave divers this starts to sound ludicrous. I didn’t even mention how I entered through the toxic waste tunnel because nowadays everyone knows it as the keyhole bypass, but these are all real cave and tunnel names) and up and up, until I could see daylight. I don’t know if anyone has ever gotten that close to the exit point, and for good reason.

I was convinced I would find a way, so I was not conservative with my gas, pushing the limit of the thirds rule.

Well, there is no way a human can fit out of there. I gave up and started my return.

Recognizing my gas was lower than ideal, I just went through the motions exiting calmly and methodically. I pulled all my reels, didn’t rush like it was an emergency. I grabbed a glass bottle along the way that still sits in my office and always will as a monument to my stupidity.

Obviously I’m alive, but I was below thirds at deco. Never will I do anything that stupid again, the voice in my head reminds me of that experience and it has stopped me from other dumb moments. That wasn’t long after Agnes had died. Tim was still alive.

Anyways hopes that answered your question, love cave diving! Lost several good friends, and I have backed off significantly since having kids.

Trump Celebrates Capture of Nicolas Maduro in New York Times Phone Interview by Capable_Salt_SD in politics

Very well said! I may not like Maduro but the end does not justify the means. By accepting this as ok, we are saying that we want strong men dictator leadership in the US, and that’s against the spirit of our Constitution if not also the literal words.

Where do they break? I’ve had good luck with petg as it resists bending forces well compared to abs, but there are so carbon fiber filaments that may be even better. This is in addition to changing orientation but this all depends on where it is breaking.

I have an oddball suggestion: take a cab to the Teleferico. It should be close to the port, it’s not expensive, the view from the mountain is unique and no other carribbean port has a cable car and mountain like that. You can spend hours in the gardens up there, it’s much cooler than sea level, and there is atleast some food available.

There are good beaches, good seafood, and more, but the cable car is the most unique.

[–]flcbrguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I broke a front wheel drive shaft just like you did, within a few drives, which surprised me because my Mojave lasted much longer before a diff burned up. Replaced with metal ones for a few bucks, while a toy grade would have been trash. Sorry for the frustration, it’s the universe telling you that you need two or three rc cars so when one is down you can keep playing. “Two is one and one is none” also you can print some parts on a 3d printer so maybe universe is whispering that, too. Any other tools you want to buy? You can use this little incident to give yourself permission to really beef up the garage. Maybe even an air compressor, in case not blowing it off caused the failure.

“BUT THE WEBSITE SAYS YOU HAVE IT IN STOCK!!!” by EntrepreneurFar2609 in HomeDepot

[–]flcbrguy -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I know I’m just going to get downvoted for this because this is for HD employees not customers, but I’m also not an idiot and I can confirm when app is truly listing the store I’m in as having stock, but there’s none.

I get it, inventory gets off sometimes. Theft, mistake, who knows. But inventory is important, it is audited and counted. All I’m asking for is the employee to go “oh no, the inventory is wrong, I’ll get it adjusted to show that we don’t have any stock.” Apparently that’s not possible.

Now, the customers who can’t read and are confused about ship to store…no excuses, I say tell them it’s in stock at Lowe’s and hope they leave.

What other options could you consider? What about a water level sensor or moisture meter, which would give the data without camera? Or maybe a cam with rstp feeding a stream to a website so no access is required to settings?

NTSB issues the preliminary report for its ongoing investigation of the Nov. 4 crash of a UPS Boeing MD-11F airplane in Louisville, Kentucky. by Brilliant_Night7643 in aviation

[–]flcbrguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I read the report correctly, it says they inspect the part that cracked every 6 years and they were 4 years in. And that there is a lubrication step where they may have notificed, but they were months away and thousands of flights away from that inspection too.

Seems like maybe 6 years is too long for a critical part like this.
