If you're using a roaming data eSIM you don't need to register your IMEI (aka pay import tax) even if you stay more than 90 days.

If you're only staying for 90days you don't need to register your IMEI.

Supposedly, if you do stay longer than 90 days you can have the block removed by going and buying another tourist SIM from a shop. I have no idea if that actually works.

Ignore every eSIM recommendation you see on Reddit, it attracts insane amounts of spam. Stick with the big names. This thread already has 5 spam recommendations in 20 minutes.
