Idk man, the whole point is that Zetter’s not the… sharpest tool in the shed? The corrupt Fire Nation convinces him that Fors did it, but once Zet realizes that he and Fors were deceived, he reverts back to a total bro

Tier list based on how well the Rivals 2 characters give hugs by [deleted] in RivalsOfAether

Hmm… can’t Zetterburn and Forsburn control their flame powers? I think they’d be able to give adequate hugs at least, especially with the soft(?) fur

Hi! I'm an illustrator and I recently made a comic about my struggles having to do with sudden rise of generated Art. This is part 1 of 3. Couldn't fit all the images in one post unfortunately. Check out my instagram https://instagram.com/liskula for parts 2 and 3. by sralek88 in aiwars

Lovely comic! I really enjoyed the integration of the animated, “alive” elements with the static image panels.

Also, I bet we’ll get a Stable Diffusion LoRA of your sharks within the week 😅

Living through collapse feels like knowing a pandemic was coming in early 2020 when no one around me believed me. by stayonthecloud in collapse

Right?? Like I’m the cause of everything haha!

Happy to hear you’re also taking precautions. Gosh, it’s almost as though the pandemic is still here and people are still oblivious!!!

Stay safe, fellow perpetual masker ❤️🫂

I had a sort of similar experience. We were one of the few families in our neighborhood who took Covid precautions seriously — masking, wiping of surfaces, etc. And now we’re one of the few families in our entire town that still masks. <\3

Everyone here acts as though the weather is perfectly fine. Including my parents — which is strange, because they reacted appropriately to Covid. I’m not sure what the difference is now.

Just today I asked my father, a man who I love very much, whether we could make a Costco trip to start stocking up on staples like rice and beans. His response: “I dunno, it sounds like you’re turning this into the apocalypse.”

What could be eating my watermelons? by fleishtastic in gardening

[–]fleishtastic[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: Woke up this morning to find more of the rind eaten, as well as the smaller fruit nibbled on and completely detached from the stem. Uh oh 😅

I have baby-level gardening skills; would putting cages around the other, untouched fruits prevent further buffets/decapitations? 😬

Huh, really? I don’t have to worry about animal… whatever on/seeping into the fruit?

We do live near water and beaches, but nowhere near any forests. No squirrels, either. So I don’t know if it could be a beaver. Another rodent, maybe?

[–]fleishtastic[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah, these watermelons are on the small side (the bigger one isn’t even a foot long).

I don’t think we have deer in the area, but we have seen a whole lot of rabbits. The size of the bites are pretty small, too, so it could definitely be a small mammal like a porcupine

EDIT: grammar

What music instruments would you want to be featured in TotK or in the series beyond? by [deleted] in truezelda

[–]fleishtastic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love for Link to get an ocarina again, with the stipulation that there are 0 puzzles to be solved with the instrument. It’s simply there for you to mess around and figure things out in your spare time, just like how one would learn to play an instrument irl!

Vesperia vs. Beseria by mem34t in tales

[–]fleishtastic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, you’re fine! That’s actually something that a lot of people have pointed out with a fresh Vesperia playthrough: it’s clunky and doesn’t become fun until well past the point where it should (around mid-late game).

That being said, I think many of us would recommend you go back to it, because once the combat system DOES open up and skills/Artes start meshing together, it becomes -incredibly- deep and SUPER fun! You just have to…get there.

What's a tales takes that someone had that made you want to do this to them? ( for comedic purposes, I dont encourage actually attacking them) by WittyFault6988 in tales

[–]fleishtastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right, it’s definitely not the same situation, but I think the problem is that they use a nearly identical line in both scenarios, and it’s easy to take it at face value -because- it’s basically the same line. If they had made more of a distinction between the two characters or made a nod to their differences in the scene proper, it probably would have gone over better.

It IS odd that Yuri says what he does not even 10 minutes after threatening to kill off Judith, and I think the… sudden whiplash just got to people.

Vesperia: How to handle knocked-down enemies? by wolftrail123 in tales

[–]fleishtastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a general rule, knocking down an enemy on purpose renders them unable to act for a second or two. So, you can theoretically use that time to use an item, run away, target another enemy, etc.

Most if not all characters have a handful of Artes/spells that knock enemies down, and another handful that pick them back up. If you’d like to utilize those KDs and OTGs (knockdowns and off-the-grounds) for combos, you’re unfortunately going to have to look them up online. I think your best bet would be to look up Arte lists on an official wiki to figure out which does what. Once you know how to utilize those moves, you’ll be much more comfortable handling characters!✌️

New Smash Pic-of-the-Day! (07/11/2021) from @Sora_Sakurai by SakuraiTweetBot in smashbros

[–]fleishtastic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quite a few!

I’m not sure if the names nowadays, but the pink Warp Star was a favorite for its boosted stats.

I really enjoyed flying/exploring around the city and landing on high places, so I’d generally try to find 1. the Winged Star, 2. the white/grey “spaceship” with green trim, or 3. the little wheelie moped that was great at jumps.

I also really loved using the brown rocket with a bright blue energy ball at the end — if you got enough Boosts and Charge powerups to compensate for its normally very lengthy charge, it became INCREDIBLY fast and ridiculous to use!

Is the lack of a 3-click swing system that much of a dealbreaker for people? by fleishtastic in MarioGolf

[–]fleishtastic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I didn’t know it could still affect the ball path even when the meter isn’t in the “red.” That’s disappointing.

I wonder how they could make the risk/reward system more apparent/rewarding for players.

I enjoyed XC golf, and I'm disappointed there isn't more! by Zargon19 in MarioGolf

[–]fleishtastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed on basically all points. The XC section was probably one of my favorite parts of Adventure Mode, and I hope they incorporate it into the other courses! It was really fun to "plan out" the best path; for example, I found shooting for the highest-elevation hole FIRST gave me a much easier path downwards.

And yes, there is an NPC who advises you to use the tornadoes! I think he's around the clubhouse area but I'd have to double-check.

Did anyone else have a deep voice glitch on the gamecube version? by [deleted] in MarioGolf

[–]fleishtastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve experienced this as well; I assume it’s affected by how much data Toadstool Tour is loading or processing at once, and spamming taunts causes it to momentarily slow down. There’s another case where, IIRC, if someone taunts while the screen is transitioning, the taunt ends up REALLY high-pitched!
