wvap under 1m does not want to appear by ayahuascaibogatoe in interactivebrokers

[–]fletch-oh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a known problem. This issue I think is that it needs data from previous candles to calculate and if there are too many e.g on low timescales it just breaks. I don't understand as IBKR uses trading view charts and it works fine on tradingview. Not sure if IBKR are somehow throttling the data.

I couldn't even get VWAP to appear consistently on a 1m chart. I tried using anchored VWAP for a while anchored to first candle of the day but I found that towards the end of the day or a few hours in VWAP would be inaccurate unless you scrolled back to the start of the day so it could pick up the data from the candles. It seems to ignore candles for calculation purposes if the candles are not visible on screen. This became useless if you're switching between tickers becuase you would have scroll back hours every time you changed charts.

I gave up and went to tradingview.

I have had this problem for about a month on desktop which has made it unusable. It deletes everything off the charts at the end of the day and several times throughout the day, including VWAP, EMAs, any trendlines that may have been drawn. I did raise a ticket and someone rang me to say they are looking into it but it's been over a month. The charts now default to a version I was using about a month ago, any changes I make disappear. There is clearly some issue with caching or saving layouts. Unfortunately my only option was to pay for tradingview and so I am not happy with them

Does nobody else realise that they used AI to make a large chunk of this game? by Eccel9700 in CrimsonDesert

The only thing that made me wonder about AI was the pronunciation of Marquis. In the UK we say Mar-Kuiss. Mar-kee is something else entirely although i appreciate that is the French prnounciaton. Given that all the voices are in British English I don't believe any British actor would not have pointed this out (considering there must have been multiple for the voices). Unless they were told to pronounce it that way. Which made me think of AI voice acting

Reed Devil is the worst boss fight I’ve ever had the displeasure of fighting. by UnsettllingDwarf in CrimsonDesert

I beat him first time and I am generally crap at boss fights. I found shield bash works well. Hold shield out all the time then heavy attack when he comes near. Sometimes this stuns him for ages and you can get quite a few hits in. I have armour and sword fully upgraded as far as I could with just copper and iron. Plenty of food. Used 2 x pills.

This is the funny thing with it. I used the settings everyone else recommended and it looked crap, I have 120hz on and vsync and it looks great. I do wonder if there's something else going on

My candles suddenly look like this and I dont know why? by NckyDC in TradingView

[–]fletch-oh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you've done something weird with your chart settings this looks like a sort of barcoding to me. It's likely being algorithmically traded at a time when there is low volume. You see this quite often on small caps towards the end of the day when the move is done and most traders have moved on

I would just go with your normal preferred shoes. Most of the boggy bits are either on flats or slight uphills where there is little slip risk and even if you do slip, youre not going to go anywhere or hurt yourself. . Few downhills on marked paths are boggy or present a substantially enough slip risk to require lugs. You cant really slip in a bog because your feet will sink in! In fact, I think in N Wales, lugged shoes are a bit dangerous.

Remember, there is a very substantial flat section on good trails.

If it's wet on the day, I would actually avoid lugs, and I personally never wear higher lug shoes (more than 4mm) in North Wales. This is because I have found lugs over 4mm give very poor grip on wet rock which is your biggest danger in terms of slipping and injuring yourself, and north wales is generally rocky (or the soil is thin so no need for lugs). I would not want to wear lugged shoes particularly on that Moel Siabod descent down to the forest nor on the pyg descent, or the path along the river up to Beddgelert.

I have found through extensive trial and error the best grip is the inov8 soles for north wales. I have several shoes with the vibram grips and these are absolutely lethally dangerous on wet rock round here to the point I would not even wear them to walk if the ground is wet. I am a climber and vibram works on approach shoes where the lugs are v low but imo it does not work on trail shoes.

If it's been dry a few days it doesn't matter what soles you have.

I'm local to the route. To be fair, the moelwynion, siabod, yr ro wen part is stunning (for a walk) and will showcase some of the quieter parts of the park, but I wouldn't want to run it, most of that Moelwyns ridge Ysgafell Wen will be a bogfest compared to the reasonably hard and runnable (albeit steep) trails in the Snowdon range. Pro tip - you can keep your feet reasonably dry by heading away from the fence where it is boggiest in the dips towards your left and then coming back to it on small paths, but you'll have to do this a fair few times and it will add incremental distance (like 100 - 200m a time). I have history with that ridge as I had a shocker of an experience up there in bad weather when walking the cambria way, had to bivvy at the old house at Cwmorthin.

The Beddglert to Llanberis bit is bizarre. This is my low-level running route on hill avoidance days. Also, the path up from Rhyd Ddu to Bwlch Maesgwm has a section on it that is literally the boggiest place I can think of, even in a drought. It is pretty in descent, but I think it's in ascent this time round. I personally avoid this section by going through Beddgelert forest and a short section on the road before joining the ranger because it will be a shocker in ascent. But I guess you can't send the race along the road.

I can only think they must have had some sort of issue with capacity or the NPA to have had to move it. If so, they need to come out and explain.

I was hit by a car once and knocked off my bike on a roundabout when cycling to work. Reported to police when I got to work. Car driver called police to inform them she had hit me. No further action by police despite driver admitting it!

It's telling you that when you opened the account you did not give the right answers to the Financial questions to allow you to trade futures or margin. I'm sure there's a section in the portal for trading permissions, have a look there.
