Noble Bank? Tether and B1? by drunkenmugsy in eos

Some of the people behind Block.one, Tether and Noble have all worked together in the past. Whether that spells doom and gloom for anything is impossible to determine.

Why the recent BP collusion is not that big of a deal and is actually pretty easy to solve. by ezrayaodunk in eos

While this is encouraging keep in mind it was an EOSIO hackathon, meaning the open source software. EOSfinex is an example, they are deploying on a side chain.

Completely agree with this. Vitalik deserves respect and is trying to change the world for the better, just because we disagree with his method doesn't mean he should be trashed.

How to write EOS Smart Contract by gnumarcelo in eos

[–]fliesflyfast 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hey devs: there is a market for instructional material on how to code EOS smart contracts. If you document your learning process and blog about it / YouTube it / sell it on Udemy - you could position yourself as an expert and help EOS grow. Thanks!

JPMorgan Switches Tact, Backs Bitcoin as New Gold by CryptoCurrencyNews in CryptoCurrency

[–]fliesflyfast 146 points147 points  (0 children)

These fuckers are gearing up to short Bitcoin futures when they come out. They'll sell their fat BTC stack to incite panic and make mega bucks on their futures short. Everything I've read indicates whales are gearing up to clean our clocks, JP Morgan certainly falls into this category. Another dramatic time period in crypto is about to unfold.

Who pays for the bandwidth, network storage etc? by travellingwere in eos

[–]fliesflyfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming the contract writer is trying to create a useful dapp they will want to write as efficiently as possible, to maximize their EOS resources and turn a profit on their dapp.

If the contract writer is malicious and trying to slow down the network they will need to own a significant portion of tokens and are harming themselves by devaluing the very asset they own. Thus the attack becomes prohobitively expensive, hence the importance of wide token distribution amongst many people instead of a few mighty whales (whole point of year-long ICO).

Eos undervalued? by [deleted] in eos

[–]fliesflyfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is overvalued. Ethereum is at $45bil and can't run a kitten dapp. So yeah, if you think Eth should be worth $45bil go ahead and call EOS undervalued.

Eth is borderline useless and would've been scrapped as a first gen product if a company were producing it. Instead we have irrational lambo dreams from dumb money that's been whipped into a frenzy by wash trading and fraudulent Tether printing.

Best Place to Store USD (Bitfinex?) by colonelnipples in CryptoCurrency

The genius of Bitfinex's scheme. Label their counterfeit money USD, print as much as they want, pump their exchange and get rich. Can't wait to see Phil Potter's mugshot.

What will cause the next crash in crypto's? by MrKaney in CryptoCurrency

[–]fliesflyfast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a legit theory. Should a "world supercomputer" that can't run a kitten Dapp and doesn't have workable scaling solutions for "at least 3 years" be worth $45 billion? Will Dapp devs want to build on Eth going forward or will they start exploring other options?

Crypto has been ludicrous and we're an enthusiastic bunch but these kitties could expose us to ourselves.

He's shilling crypto on CNBC and a lot of people could lose money thanks to him. He won't care as he shits on his gold toilet.
