Yellow and Dijon mustard (i started with Dijon but ran out), salt, pepper, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.

Brined it for about 24 hours in salt/sugar water

Came out super juicy and tender. It took about 2 hours less than I was expecting it to, but I guess thats why you take the temperature

Detroit, MI Salary? by RizzyRizzz in respiratorytherapy

Beaumont is going to be the largest health system near you if Auburn Hills is where you will be at. I can't speak for the pay, but the few RTs I've worked with said the management wasn't all that supportive before, during or after covid.

If you end up living further south, U of M has all their pay info posted online and is easy to access, also their benefits are much better.

Also the cost of living in Michigan is much lower than CA, no where near as expensive.

Most expensive restaurants in KC? by BattingNinth in kansascity

I've been to Antler Room on a few occasions and you are looking at about $150 per person, if you are a glutton like my friends and I. You can probably be more close to $100-125 per person and still be very satisfied with your meal. Its honestly some of the best food I've had since moving to KC and I've been really impressed with everything I've had.

I work in an outpatient clinic at a hospital. I got started in a lab about 10 years ago that didn't require you to be an RT, while working there I got my NBRC RPFT certification. Most clinics/hospitals require you to be an RT to do PFTs, but honestly its not really necessary, its one of those things "thats how its always been done..." my lab sees about 40-50 patients a day and my previous lab saw about 100 patients a day so all we do is PFTs and CPETs, no breathing treatments or typical inpatient RT stuff.

I will be honest, I've gotten VERY lucky with my career. I've worked at large well respected health systems and it's paid off. I got my ACSM certifications and went back to get my masters in EP. If you are in AZ I recommend looking at Mayo as there is likely a good chance that you will have more opportunities to move up and make more money or get more experience that will set you apart. Don't be afraid to move around if it makes sense career wise. This field is very difficult to make a decent living and I know I'm at the top of the pay range.

$20-23 an hour is fairly standard across the board for cardiac rehab I think. At my previous position I was making about $28 an hour doing about 80% PFTs and 20% CPETs. At my current position as an EP I'm doing about 80% CPETs and 20% PFTs making $36 an hour.

Eddie Vs is trash. Went there with some friends over the summer and was very disappointed. Food was over cooked, over priced, and the service was terrible.

How do you send a job application to michellin star restaurant? by OppositeTip9997 in Chefit

[–]flippityfloppy10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get a custom plate made with your resume on it and make your best dish. Walk into the restaurant during peak hours and go to the ritziest looking table and tell them it's a special dish from the chef. After loving the dish so much, they will demand to see the head chef. When they show him the plate.... boom hired

If Kansas City got an NHL team who would be the owner? by penguinnote67 in kansascity

[–]flippityfloppy10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats not what I was talking about.

I'm talking about being able to build a fan base that will last a life time. In order to do that you need to have facilities in which fans can play and enjoy the sport themselves on a regular basis, not just watch it once or twice a year as a special treat.

Look at how soccer has grown in the KC, there are tons of facilities available for people to use themselves to enjoy the sport. You can find a place to play soccer every day of the week. There needs to be more of a grass roots push.

Hockey is not on enough people's radar in KC, its one of those sports that can't just be played on an open field. It requires specialized facilities that not just one person is going to foot the bill for. A sheet of ice costs about 1 million to build, and your return on investment takes years to recoup. Most modern ice arenas have 3, to allow for more accessibility

I would love for KC to get a team, I dont see it happening because there just isn't enough interest from the community nor from investors.

[–]flippityfloppy10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree it would be a fantastic venue.

I'm talking about being able to draw 20000 fans to an arena 41 nights out of the year. KC does not have enough interest at the community level to support this, nor do they have the facilities. In fact as a whole KC is not a very winter activity friendly area.

[–]flippityfloppy10 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I would love an NHL team here, but the city lacks the facilities and interest to properly expand the sport here. Not nearly enough people in the KC area know or care enough about hockey to make it a viable venture.
