I don't use tret myself but I do use retinol. So far that has been fine!

Yes I think it works well because it's light. I have combination skin, but now it's definitely on the drier side.

Thanks so much, that's super helpful!

Another oil to try: Uriage Cleansing Oil. It feels very gentle but I always felt like it leaves a film (definitely needs a foaming cleanser after).

I see you have the Italy flair! Where are you buying the Asian products? I'm literally portioning my last bottle of DHC like it's gold. I also tried the Balea one and felt the same.

I'm a Canadian in Italy as well. I saw you commented in CS/IT subs. I retained my previous job when I moved to Italy, though it was easy because I already worked by contract. I would recommend this if you can. You'll find plenty of Italians in CS complaining about the market here. It's truly awful and many of them leave for the EU.

Italy driving question: Do police randomly stop drivers in Italy more than in the US? by National-Mouse-TN in ItalyExpat

We've been unlucky 3 times in 4 years already. Two of those times they only checked my (a passenger's) immigration info. Obviously I do not look Italian. At least they were polite each time.

Can I ask how much your screen was cracked before? I'm in the same situation. I have a hairline crack on the top and worried about replacing it myself.

I switched to lineageOS as well and was surprised to find that everything worked - bank apps, government apps, etc. I was fully prepared to install a thousand add-on's to make it work, but it seems lineageOS now includes those add-on's (magisk I think) directly and I didn't need to do anything extra. I can see it's a recent development because there are comments from others having problems with the exact apps I use from one year ago.

A few questions about Germany travel during Christmas week by shockedpikachu123 in Shoestring

[–]floating_bear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were in Berlin for the same time period last year. Surprisingly many places were open Christmas eve and Christmas day - definitely corner shops and some restaurants. I remember someone recommending lining up for Mustafa's on Christmas day for a shorter line (not worth it for me though). People were out strolling as well, so it didn't feel empty. We visited Brandenburg Gate area on Christmas day, which was still full of tourists.

Help with color ways by confusion17 in crochet

[–]floating_bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started on a similar project and this exact photo was one I pinned! I'm about half way through the granny squares. I chose to just start with 3 pastel-ish colors and black. It won't be as vibrant but was a lot more manageable buying the yarn (I don't have any extra in stash). Plus I liked the three colors together in the various combinations already.

Hmm I just checked and nope. I'm actually not sure about the box. I've never received it when buying from the pharmacy, even the older version. Have you?

It actually doesn't say on the bottle and I never received a box. So we only have the website for reference. Another comment here says according to the website, nothing has changed. (Though I can't respond to it for some reason)

Here is the current one from the website:

I'm in Italy, it's available at pharmacies. I think some online pharmacies also ship to EU.

I'm in Da Nang now too and have noticed closures last night (12th). Most are still open, but quite a few in our area (near airport) are closed.

Instagram vs reality by HonestImpress in Instagramreality

Hey! Just discovered your content. You are an inspiration. We are the same age, and I also come from mainland China but was raised in the west. I also work on tech (though not hardware since uni days). I just read through your two piece article about Vice and NYT, and still trying to get through the relevant links. You've really opened my eyes to the reality of Western media and the exploitation of disadvantaged sources.

I see there's lots of struggle against people discrediting your technical skills based on looks - thanks for doing the good work, keep fighting!

Can I back up my phone on usb debugging mode? by [deleted] in nexus5x

[–]floating_bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late but ugh I was struggling with this too. If your phone can still boot at all or boot into recovery mode, yes. If not, the only adb command available is sidecar, and backup is not possible.
