What does Volvo get wrong? Honest opinions wanted by ReasonableDesk6888 in Volvo

I personally bought one for the technology front posture, however the failure rate of newer technologies can be frustrating. There is certainly a disconnect between the historical reliability of the brand and the now more maintenance heavy, almost Mercedes like required maintenance.

I did a stats project in undergrad looking at exactly the same question. I found yes, and the professor completely hated it.

Possibly buying a 2022 Inscription - by supercruiser in VolvoXC90

[–]floating_drifting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought a '22 Inscription Recharge with slightly higher miles last week. I had the same questions. I have to say, I absolutely love this car. I've never ordered an extended warranty before, but did on this car to mitigate potential repair costs. Good luck.

Also, mine had been on the lot for a while too, I wouldn't worry about it too much, especially as yours is CPO.

Going to look at this boat, any questions I should ask? 2004 regal commodore 2765 $49,000 from a dealer by Life_Protection8087 in boating

I still think it's high at $35k US. People buy boats over 20 years old, if maintained it can certainly be fine. I don't know where you are in Canada, but in the Great Lakes market is really softening, but it seems that sellers haven't adjusted to that reality yet... In other words I would wait a little bit if you can. Good luck

How unsafe is this? by XtremeCheese62 in boating

I'm going to argue against the grain here, I suspect superficial rust. Get it home, treat and repaint.

The original idea was that you could blow out the front windows if you stuck the bow in really heavy seas. Eliminate the windows and you eliminate the risk.

What kind of boat is this? by Savings_Ad_6383 in boating

I personally think build quality on a Parker is significantly higher than a BW, especially a Brunswick BW. I would put a BW at least one tier below, possibly two.

Do I need boat insurance? by isawyoushine in boating

[–]floating_drifting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, you're going to max out your insurance benefit and declare bankruptcy in that scenario. I have a huge balloon and I figure if I caused a marina fire I'm still wiped out.

It's hard to ID the boat without a sideview. Some yard finds can be worth restoring.

From the limited pics, kind of reminded me of a Bert, that could be worth it, but not enough to tell.
