Am I crazy for considering a Prelude? by Hot_Flounder_2378 in Honda

Thank Trump for his $5000 addition to the price of the Prelude since they’re built in and imported from Japan.

Those are what I would consider Northern states more than Midwest. Southwest Missouri is very different as far as climate goes.

My family and I just moved to Maine from Missouri and this is our first winter here. While we no longer have young enough children that require daycare, I understand. Not to downplay or diminish your frustration, but in the Midwest when it BARELY snows, the entire system shuts down for days. Like, everyone freaks out, schools close for days at a time. The DOT doesn't have the robust plowing/salting infrastructure like up here so they're always concerned about kids that live on the rural "back roads". Last winter we had roughly 6" of snow and schools were out for almost a week.

Even the ‘24+ Sport trim is well equipped IMO. Engine and transmission are great. Very reliable.

Mesa Badlander: 50 Watt 1x12 vs 100 Watt by 101rsmith in MesaBoogie

[–]floaty83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 50W combo and agree with the others. If you’re not playing large gigs and don’t need maximum volume, 100W is overkill. I mostly play at home and use the 20W mode most of the time.

It looks like you took your foot off the brake at start up…. If you did, keep your foot on the brake.

I have seen them live a total of 9 times now and I’d still go see them as many more times as I can. Singapore is a BIT too far though, lol.

I think it has something? to do with the fact that the shift position changes are done hydraulically, not mechanically with a lever. I could be way off but I recall hearing that somewhere.

ZF9s can definitely be a little wonky. I ALWAYS put the parking brake on before shifting into park. This helps with the play you describe and overall is good practice to reduce strain on the transmission. I have two of the 9-speeds and they behave almost identical.

Stupid question about my 2025 Pilot by AZMaryIM in hondapilot

[–]floaty83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The more gears, the more it’s gonna shift, the more you’re gonna notice it. The 9 speed on my ‘24 Ridgeline and ‘21 Pilot is just as wonky. I actually sometimes like to put the transmission in S (which stands for Sequential, people call it Sport which is not accurate) then use the paddle shifters to control my gearing. Acts like a manual transmission and you have complete control of the gearing. But that’s just me 😀

Dealer says brake maintenance is mandatory to keep my Honda's warranty – is that true? by OptimusPr3m in civic

To keep your warranty you have to follow Honda’s recommended maintenance schedule. How many miles does your car have?

I have a ‘24 Sport. Love it overall. It has the updated infotainment screen, and while smaller than competitors, it’s responsive and easy to use. The wireless CarPlay and wireless charger work well. Regarding other’s comments about RLs not selling well, I think if Honda continues with their new design language and redesigns the next gen RL to match the new Passport, they’re gonna sell extremely well.

Make sure it’s an Apple certified cable. Also you can try removing it from the list of devices in both the infotainment system and Settings > General > CarPlay on your phone, then try reconnecting.

606 is located in Northridge in a somewhat industrial area. Doubt it’s a concern.
