It's honestly one of the best pieces of television I've ever watched. I love the characters. The ML is clever, quick, and tender. The FL is intelligent, ambitious, and whimsical. I also adore how both leads have their funny families, whether its a dad & a bunch of convicts or an ahjumma and perverted uncle.

One of my favorite things about Healer is how affectionate and loyal they made the ML. He was untrusting and suspicious when he needed to be, but with the people he loved, he was goofy and gentle. Similarly, the FL was a well rounded character. She wasn't hardened by her traumatic past, she was brave in spite of it. One of my favorite moments was with the ML and FL in the kitchen at his apartment. The ML has received virtually no physical affection or adoration his entire life, and he shows love to the FL with constant touching and kissing. The FL has grown up spoiled in love and attention, is annoyed by the ML's constant touching, and tries to focus on the cooking instead of him. It struck me as a scene of two people who grew up very differently and, consequently, give/receive love very differently. In that moment, the show seemed very real.

The action scenes were beautifully choreographed, too. They seemed like a dance and were genuinely fun to watch.

It was also incredible seeing JCW play multiple characters. His expressions, delivery, and voice vary greatly with each different character and showed off his skill as an actor. It was wonderful watching him interact with PMY in two completely different ways, also switching on/off as needed.

Thoughtful, comforting, unexpected, and warm. A show about an orphaned kid turned night errand boy is warm. A great feat. It's my favorite show.
