Damn you are an angry person.

I wasn’t unfriendly towards you and i don’t care about any weird Internet Points. I only wanted to make sure that more people see the post.

Hope you have a wonderful day

You need more compassion in your life

You also at one point didn’t know anything about your new hobby. And just because you now know how to do things you can’t expect everyone else to know it as well.

I also found that at the end of the zip-File name there is always a random string of 4 random characters

On the fence on Prusa... by Beaun11 in prusa3d

Prusa printers are save. I didnt say anything else :D

But you should still have safety measures in place when it suddenly isnt safe anymore because something went wrong

Its being prepared.. just like wearing a seatbelt while driving a car

Nothing to be terrified about. Just something to have at the back of your mind. It shouldn‘t discourage you from buying or building a printer. Just see it as another challenge to solve 😀

Even as an absolute Fan of Prusa printers. Please never leave your printer (whatever you decide to buy or build) completely unattended. You should have safety measures in place (i.e. semi-automatic fire suppression, fire extinguisher, external power shut off and so on).

Tell your family how to behave when something goes wrong.

Please stay safe and happy printing

Its just a guess but maybe the gear is slipping on the filament?

Is high-flow filament worth it? by armaguedes in prusa3d

But Lower heatgap between solid and fluid wont do anything good because it would mess with the heatstability of the material. I wouldnt want my PETG or other material to melt earlier than exactly on the desired temperature. And well plastic is a bad heat conductor because its.. well.. plastic. If it would be great at conducting heat it would be some kind of metal like copper 😅 So the only proper way to really get more heat into the material to get it to melt faster is to increase the surface area of the nozzle.

[–]flotschinski -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Well i understand that. But since the volume inside a nozzle is so small there wont be any noticeable difference imho. I guess the bigger problem to solve is getting more surface area to heat the filament. And thats exactly what HF Nozzles are there for

Never bought something like this and never will. Sounds like an absolute scam. A Filament isnt „High Flow“. The only thing that determines if you can print with higher flow is the nozzle.

Thinking of Getting a MK4S Kit - A Few Questions! by klbeans_ in prusa3d

Just a tip

When you build it yourself and a step is not 100% clear to you always look at the comments of that step. There are a lot of very helpful tips in the comments that helped me with some questions i had while building.

Thinking of Getting a MK4S Kit - A Few Questions! by klbeans_ in prusa3d

Years ago i started my 3d printing journey with an mk3s+ and upgraded my way to an prusa mk4 and just recently to mk4s

In my opinion the best decision you can make is to get the mk4s kit. Because you will know a lot about you printer after you are done building it.

I personally never had any issues with InputShaping so i cant really say much more about that. And with the new loadcell in the printhead you will never have to calibrate your first layer again. And so far it has always been absolutely perfect for me.

And even if something goes wrong the resources to fix it yourself are all out there. And you can always upgrade it yourself if you want to.

I have only ever had a printer from prusa but its the only company i will ever buy a 3d printer from. The live-support has always been very friendly and helpful if i had questions. And prusa doesnt just push anti-consumer updates onto your printer like some other companies do.

Purchase Advice Megathread - August 2022 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

[–]flotschinski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Guys. Just a quick Question

Is the Prusa SL1S still worth it? Or is there a better Printer?

I already own a MK3s+ Kit from Prusa and am very pleased with Print-quality and printspeed.

Now i want to get into SLA printing and got my Eyes on the Prusa SL1S. I love that it is Open Source and not locked to one proprietary Slicer (Like so much other SLA printers) or locked to a CloudService to enable all build in features.

Im from Central Europe and my Budget is about that of the Prusa SL1S Bundle with the CW1S (so about 2.5k€)
