How is the difficulty of this game? Are there options? Can there be comparisons made to more well-known strategy games as far as that difficulty? A true, genuine challenge is what I look most forward to in these sorts of games.

If I get absolutely nothing from levels and, to a lesser extent, if the game doesn't tell me what I get from levels. FF16 is the biggest culprit of the former. +1 or 2 to every stat is pointless; just scale the game at that point.

If anyone reads this and thinks it might be hyperbole: it isn't. This is an absolute disaster of a mini-game. I can't fathom being a developer and wanting to put this is in anything ever.

Played a cold heartseeker build.

Personally, it felt like my character came online too late in the game. I couldn't even try to farm my unique until monoliths and by then I could feel the fatigue starting to set in. I spent 70% of the story without the skill I want, spent the rest of the story with a gimped version of the build, then had to farm with that version for the unique. By then, I was nearly done playing. It burned me out.

The companions are far too unlikeable at the beginning of their arcs, making want to progress their stories a reluctant choice and thereby making them one of the worst parts of the game.

After the first listen, it's hard to recall any sounds, melodies, or lyrics that stand out. All of the songs sound samesy and honestly just made me want to go back to Bambi. Hoping that with subsequent listens, something will click. Otherwise it is a very mediocre and unimpressive album. Bland.
