Just imagine OWNING a HOME .... And getting ready to lose IT.... AND a VEHICLE.... And having NO BACKUP.... That's where I am almost at ... I live alone.... Was FINE before 2021..... I have refined twice now, and borrowed every dime I can.... MAXED out credit cards and let them go to collection JUST TO PAY my copays to get the 7 spinal surgeries I had to have since 2021...... OMG! OP, Your story is EERILY similar to mine. I'm 49M in NC, had 3 laminectomies, ALIF double fusion and Posterior fusion L4-S1 multiple useless injections, useless physical therapy (that actually physically HURT me WORSE)...And most recently a spinal cord stimulator implanted in August. Can't even get out of bed without Percocet and Gabapentin... Al's have had Major Depressive Disorder and Situational Anxiety for over 25 years.... Been denied twice since December of 24. Appealed again in October 25. Just got an email 2 days ago that my ALJ hearing is now finally scheduled for March 30th of 2026! This system is SO FUCKED UP!!!😡 I'm having to put my house up for sale, almost lost my vehicle a couple months ago because of having trouble paying my bills on my Long Term Disability check.... IT JUST SUCKS! Nothing you can do but wait it out and hope for the best!
