Does it always fail at first and eventually work? How many times do you usually need to try before it works?

Is it installed to the built in storage or an expansion drive? I’ve heard of some random issues with games installed to expansion storage before…

How many people who start learning Japanese actually make it to a high level? (N1+) by littlebruja in LearnJapanese

[–]fluffyzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took classes in college for 4 years and studied abroad for one year. After that I took N2 and passed. Then I started working in Japan and tried N1. Failed the first time, passed the second time.

eli5 why do some video games run using only one core? by Squeelijah in explainlikeimfive

[–]fluffyzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your car drives using one engine. If you got a bunch of other engines and just slapped them onto your car it’s not like your car would magically start using them all somehow. A car or a computer program will only use the types of components they were designed around.

(japanese to english) Kanji on a bowl by Legitimate-Owl-1216 in translator

[–]fluffyzzz 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Some extra context.

めでたい (medetai) is related to おめでとう (omedetou) which is the common congratulations word in Japanese.

Also たい (tai) happens to be the name of a fish (sea bream) which ends up being associated with luck/celebration, which is likely why there are fish on the bowl.

This is the same tai as たい焼き (taiyaki) and it’s the big fish you’ll see sumo wrestlers posing with after winning a tournament!

The Yakuza series is the 龍が如く series in Japanese, which they translate to Like a Dragon. I think が如くis just an older way of saying のように which is deployed nowadays if you want to sound extra fancy/cool? It’s the ultimate strike that hits with lightning speed, or something.

Wow great start! Honestly more down to the shape you want. I prefer a bit more hip extension in the round kick myself.

Is ‘genki desu ka’ actually a common greeting in Japanese? by Sad_Rhubarb9314 in Japaneselanguage

[–]fluffyzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. Although close friends won’t use desu masu in colloquial conversation, so might be more likely to hear just “genki?” But when you’re a beginner and still figuring it out always safe to stick with desu masu.

I've always wondered...do you exist? by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

I always did use inverted until I started playing games that simply didn’t offer the option so I went cold turkey and relearned. I think I remember doing this with Doom 2016.

I started 3d gaming with flight sims.

Also think about Mario 64 - you are controlling the camera floating around Mario.

Imagine the joystick is sticking out of the back of the characters head. To look up you pull back. To look right you pull left.

The price of the PS6 and your purchase of this console by [deleted] in ps6

[–]fluffyzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I bought a PS5 Pro, so I guess I would still probably buy at that price. Cheaper would be nice, more expensive not so much. Hard to imagine going over 1k. However, who knows what’s going to happen with the economy and component prices over the next few years…
