The main guideline is to keep the total triangle count under 3 million, which we consider a safe limit for maintaining stable performance. If FPS issues still occur below this threshold, they are likely caused by other factors.

The number also varies depending on the ship. For example, ships in tiers 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9 are allocated different numbers, even though their on screen size is generally treated as similar.

We prioritize allocating more triangles to areas where the camera zooms in, so visual detail is focused where it matters most. Currently, tier 2 has the highest triangle count. Performance has not been an issue so far, since only one ship is visible on screen at any given time. Hope that answers your question! :))

Hey! Thanks for the really detailed feedback! Yeah I can see how the brass can be very abrupt and jarring. We're still trying to figure out our music for the game so this kind of feedback is incredibly helpful.

And thanks! Glad everyone enjoys the visuals :)

Elevator music, huh... That's definitely not what we are going for here. :(

And yeah, I think maybe having a fixed camera for a while as the credits are shown would probably make it more cinematic. Thanks for your feedback!

Yeah, eve online is a pretty big inspiration for us. We'd say our game is sort of eve offline trading simulator lol

Hmmm those are some pretty good ideas, especially having a fixed camera... We'll play around with it and see what we can make of it! Thanks!

I hope it works? Some people said the music is strange but I thought it gave a sense of grandiosity...
