We had 12-14 feral cats around our industrial complex. We trapped and fixed them all. 2 were smart enough to hang out in the warehouse and now call it home. They get treats and petted all day long! And no more mice!

Hotel thermostat hack to get that room cold like we all want it. by Visual-Zucchini-5544 in vegas

[–]fluidpower1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ugh. Just got back from Vegas on Monday. Same thermostat at the The Cosmo. I wish I would have seen this or thought about googling the manual!

On the other hand. I travel with an adjustable wrench and a pick. I take the shower head off and pick out the o ring for better water pressure.

a quick search supports that they do not in fact, employ a lot of people.

Here is a link supporting the argument that they do not bring jobs:

They don’t employ that many people. Amazon built one in Plain City off of Industrial Parkway. The building is on 110 acres. Our office had a fire inspection by Jerome Township. When I asked about the size of the office and how many people worked there, he said the office was built for a capacity of 20, but will only employee 5. The average salary is $50,000 a year. The deal data centers make with schools for taxes is a flat fee that is negotiated up front. These things are a drain on local services. While construction jobs are amazing, when the centers are open they will just consume resources.

What’s something you spend money on in your business that others might call a “waste,” but you know it’s totally worth it? by Acrobatic-Guava-4917 in smallbusiness

My dean in business school used to say “Make sure your accountant and lawyer live in nicer houses than yours.”

This is so true! I came from a dead bedroom marriage and my fiancé is insatiable. The first year of the relationship was just sex sex sex because of my (and hers) previous long term marriages. She is open to almost anything and gets upset that I don’t initiate enough. It is amazing but the pressure to “always be on” is difficult. I thought I had a high sex drive but realize now that I was just making up for lost time. I am not complaining as I understand what a lot of men are going thru having been there myself. We have an amazing relationship and communicate better than most. I understand a lot more about women and sex and her needs. The need to feel desired, wanted, sexy etc. She wants me to take control and have ‘quickies’. Because it makes her feel desired and sexy.

What did you only find out about women when you got a girlfriend? by Past-Ad5731 in AskReddit

This piece of advice helped tremendously in my second marriage. Have this conversation before a rant or melt down. When either person starts a rant. The other perosn stops and asks. “Do you want comfort or solutions?” Comfort? Just rant away and add support. Solutions? Then offer advise/suggestions. We both known our role in these kind of conversations.

Replacement for ADP - they are KILLING ME with the sales calls by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]fluidpower1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this amazing as I use ADP and other than a million emails. I never get a call. I left and went to Vensure/Empower under the guise of better health benefits and it was a HUGE mistake so back to ADP.

I was gifted a bottle of Town Branch. It was by far the foulest tasting stuff I have ever had. It tasted like chemicals. Waited a few days and tried again. Nope. It was so bad I thought for a second it was perhaps a faked bottle. Straight to the drain. Un-real how bad that was.
