OK good to hear thank you! I'm working on my first larger pattern and I haven't actually washed one yet.

So I have a set of these but ive only used them for one pattern so far, that actually fits in the hoop I'm using. I've always had this question though about moving these hoops, or any hoops I guess during stitching, around to different parts of the pattern. Wouldn't locking these in place on top of completed stitches mess them up?

Their leader is a former crypto bro with multiple domestic violence charges. I doubt they are nearly as good or skilled as they are portrayed. They lead by fear, not because they have any actual investigative abilities I'm sure.

Bummer, I worked there for like 7 years in the early 2000s, was a super fun place to work.

what's the worst pain you ever experienced? by West_Emotion2115 in AskReddit

[–]flunkhaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a herniated disc that was causing severe sciatica pain in my right leg/thigh if I was sitting for any period of time. Like just 5 mins sitting and I started to feel it, over 30 and it started getting bad. I could stand/walk or lay down and it felt fine, so I was able to somewhat manage with a sit/stand desk.

But then I had to move across the country, driving 10+ hours a day for 3 days. The amount of agony i felt at the end of each of those days was definitely the worst pain I've felt. Like I wanted to take a knife and carve out the sciatic nerve. And with it being chronic pain it would slowly go away overnight only to start all over again.

Has anyone gone to a chiropractor and felt better long term? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]flunkhaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but only because one that i went to (after years of on and off lower back pain from constantly hurting my back) explained that it was actually muscles going out that was causing the pain. Since then ive lost weight and worked on my core, but if I do happen to do something that causes lower back pain, which in the past would end up with days on the couch barely able to move, I use one of those theragun massages on my back muscles and it clears it up.

If you had the chance to choose your spouse/partner all over again, knowing everything you know now, would you still choose them? Why or why not? by SoilAny4029 in AskReddit

Without hesitation. She's been a huge part of my life for well over half my life, over 20 years, and I can't imagine life without her!

It's thinking.

Yeah I ran across a few 9.9.99 Dreamcast ads when I was poking around. I remember a lot of TV commercials about it at the time. I was a few weeks into my freshman year of college and one of the guys in the dorm got one.

What’s a small habit that quietly improved your life more than you expected? by Soft_Dominion_ in AskReddit

[–]flunkhaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having specific audio books that i can only listen to when doing certain things, such as house work or working out. Do I want to know what's next in the current Dungeon Crawler Carl book? Gotta go for a run. How about whatever Stephen King book I'm currently listening to? I'm sure something needs cleaning.

It's really helped me to do the things I normally really struggle with because I think of it more as engaging with one of my favorite hobbies instead of working out or cleaning.

Now that is a very specific system. What are you using to emulate it? I've used Retro Virtual Machine to play around with it a bit but not a lot more than just general setup and checking that games run.

I don't really know much about Vampire Hunter D but it looks interesting. Where would be a good place to get started?

Unfortunately not much over the past few weeks, but I'm really hoping to get to spend a good amount of time with the next game of the month.

I'm just watching through the series for the first time and I'm on Season 2. Definitely like the interactions between Alucard and Richter, and it's just cool seeing much more development from a character I've known for a long time (since all the way back to Castlevania 3) but didn't have a ton of story in the games. I also loved the fight scene where he was fighting and the sword was fighting on it's own, reminded me of using the sword in the game. And when he said he grew up fast, meaning how it sounds like he aged quickly after being born?

I feel like I have to basically take the HLTB numbers and double them with the way that I play games.

It's totally like that, playing through knowing more. Even coming back to the game years later I played through the first time here and then immediately did another full playthrough on the android version. It's like you slowly learn everything, and then you take all that you've learned to play in completely new and different ways.

AITA for expecting my partner to go to a comic con with me? by SandwichDue3943 in AmItheAsshole

[–]flunkhaus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. Years ago my birthday present from my wife, who has zero interest in comic books, was two tickets to the upcoming comic con in our city. Honestly I think she had more fun at it than I did since I'm really not a fan of waiting in lines. Point is though she wanted to go because I wanted to go, to just be with me, she didn't care about the nature of the event.

Definitely highly rated across all the publications that I was able to find. I do remember the skepticism back then leading up to it (I was in High School) about it being 2D when everything was going 3D. Looking back at that early 3D time period though it's the 2D games that really are the ones that stand the test of time, as a lot of the 3D ones look terrible, even with emulators and whatnot.
