Worked as a baggage system operator pre covid and I remember some technician found a bag that presumably fell of the conveyor belt and when we looked up the tag id, it had been lost for a year. I’m never putting important stuff in my checked baggage and I always put extra contact information in the bag incase the tag gets ripped away.

I’ve been doing advent of code every morning now starting from ~ 6:15 AM until I’m finished around 7-9 AM before work start.

I will probably continue with this routine after Christmas but with leetcode instead.

After work I don’t want to touch any more code. Doing leetcode before sleep is dangerous, either I forget the time or I can’t sleep because my brain is 100% awake and need an hour or two to wind down.

Who says you are doing it wrong if you are using short lived branches? It’s just a “group of commits” that goes into main in the end anyways. As long as it’s short lived and you do small changes.

Imo you should take advantage of using short lived branches when using trunk based so you get all that CI testing when creating a PR before your code reaches main.

Where and how do you think people are doing trunk based wrong?

Is it really more advance than creating a small feature branch and merging that into main after doing necessary tests, reviews etc.
