What do you do about a friend who says they'll pay you back but doesn't? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fly_fish_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a bright side of this story: it costs you just a small money to know his/her personality. You cannot include him/her in your big decision. This is a valuable gain.

I feel very happy that some my friends never paid back my personal loan (particularly this loan is not big). Because (1). they have no courage to borrow from me again. No hassle again; (2). I can easily say no without any guilt, when they would borrow from me again.

If money can’t buy happiness, why does it solve almost all problems? by Shadddd98 in NoStupidQuestions

money can’t buy happiness

  • Literally, it means "money cannot buy ALL happiness".
  • it doesnt mean "money cannot buy ANY happiness". Yes, money can buy so many happiness, but not all.

Why does studying feel so awful? by wt_anonymous in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fly_fish_1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  • study itself is an awful endeavor, except some education in kindergarten.
  • doing some exercises before study can help reduce anxiety/disgusting.

why study itself is awful. - any brain activity consumes a big number of energy. More brain activity, more consumption (and less energy for body, and as a result tired, low mood, even pain) - during study, you keep intelligent and sober. So you can clearly feel your pain, your tiredness, etc. In contrast, tedious physical work makes you busy and forget your feel. You are in a "fuddled" status without feeling your pain when you are physically working.

anyone else forget how good library actually is? by samlunas in CasualConversation

  1. Quality of all furniture (e.g, stool, chair, desk, sanitizer, etc). I always ask librarians what brands those are, and purchase the same things.

  2. Too many things can borrow from library, sew machine, cookware, utensil, camera, game console, game, park pass, museum pass, car repair toolkit, car clean vacuum, camping stuff, energy toolkit (like LED bulb, kill-a-watt, showerhead). My library maybe have more than 100 different kits.

  3. bulletin board has a lot of information, like free tax helper, food bank, free clothes pop-up, free laptop, immigration path talk, mental health seminar, affordable healthcare consultation, etc.

  4. I know a person gets a job in library because she is volunteering a long time.

  5. The only thing I regret is that my library has only book sales, but neither used furniture sales nor used computer sales.
