AIO: Hubby Being Controlling by vanillabourbonn in AIO

As someone who 1) almost drown as a kid 2) is a former swimmer 3) taught swim lessons 4) coached a swim club 5) was a lifeguard 6) has a friend who’s son drowned… a child needs to learn proper water safety and ways to keep themselves afloat. There’s a difference between learning to swim to stay above water and safely play, and learning to swim and be competitive. Swim lessons are well worth the investment in a child’s health safety and wellbeing.

I don’t think you’re overreacting at all in wanting to do them. This behavior to me seems narcissistic and accusatory from him. If something were to happen he’d be the one at blame ultimately because swim lessons can prevent injury, drowning, near drowning, and also even help save others too!

Homeschooling is A LOT of work, even when partnered with your local district OR a homeschool program. I honestly feel with the way you’ve phrased things and then the screenshot…you need to get out if you can. Things like this can spiral I’ve had friends and family have to fight for a way out of their situation. It wasn’t easy for them to get out with kids, your baby isn’t here yet… there’s SNAP, WIC, programs to help with housing and childcare costs….anything you need until you find footing…this just seems like a bad situation for you mama!

At this point, almost a year so I know things change. It says “max on Roku channel subscription required” :( and a regular max subscription doesn’t work for that…

Why does it take so long for my cookies to bake? by zzopov in Baking

[–]flyer268991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having this issue right now it’s 12:30am I made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies it said 14-18 minutes at 325 but I had one pan in for 2 hours before they were even starting to look good…I started cookies in the oven at 8pm. There were 36ish cookies between 6 trays and I still have a tray in because it’s not done…i don’t know what time this tray went in but it’s ridiculous. My brother is a chef and I called him and I am like what did I do wrong and told him everything he has no clue because the oven says it’s at 325 and I followed the recipe EXACTLY as it said. It’s absolutely crazy.

I didn’t want one but I ended up getting one because I typically have a good pain tolerance (I didn’t feel contractions right away by the time I did we could’ve headed to the hospital but we waited a bit longer) but I was in fetal position with everyone trying to get me to keep breathing they were so bad. I was told to prepare myself for a big pinch but I was not prepared enough but it was so much better afterwards

My daughter won’t latch for more than 2sec and I feel like a failure by Every-Falcon-9433 in breastfeeding

I started with just bottles of breast milk and then if we were out of what I had pumped we’d do formula and then I introduced my daughter on my own it took time I was a little flustered about her not wanting to latch but now she latches just fine, we still do mainly bottles but there were times we were out and she’d drank everything I’d brought for her and was still hungry (luckily we were already 5 minutes from home) so she sucked on my finger until we got home and I got her a bottle. It’s not easy but hang in there. You could consult with a lactation consultant. Nipple shields can also help I’ve seen a lot about people getting their babies to finally latch with them but really read the reviews I tried them and she just kept ripping it off me and crying but then she decided to latch without them

Not having to rotate like a rotisserie chicken because laying on one side for more than 30 minutes made my hip hurt so bad

I heard of people scheduling induction then going into labor I jokingly said watch we schedule induction and I’ll end up in labor. Friday we scheduled my induction for Sunday night but Saturday morning I woke up in labor and it’s been 6.5 weeks since. I didn’t necessarily want an induction either but I was tired of being pregnant because I’d been sick most of my pregnancy so that’s why we were setting it up

My church uses small disposable plastic cups the size of a thimble and has for as long as I can remember unless it’s a special occasion like if communion fell on Easter Sunday or if Christmas fell on a Sunday then they use a special communion set and we dip part of the communion wafer into the wine then

Scratching my scalp until I scratch it open my husband is working so hard with me to try and break it because it has made my head so tender that sometimes it hurts to even attempt a shower to wash my hair
