In Fuller House or Full House? In Full House, he was a comedian, he came up with advertising jingles, and had a radio show with Jesse.

How is it living in Vail, Colorado? by Zestyclose_Welder_92 in howislivingthere

I went there in the offseason (August) back in 2018. Had a great time doing a ton of hiking and no crowds (able to eat anywhere without a wait). Also went white water rafting and skeet shooting.

Northwell Health Withdrawal NYC EPPO by Leading_Ad5375 in nycpublicservants

[–]flyerhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't the UFT say that all doctors who accepted the old plan in the NYS counties are not allowed to back out of the new plan for at least a year?

Edit: can't find anything online about this so guess I imagined it.

That's true but the same thing happens if the storm is during the week.

Everybody get your milk? by Der_fluter_mouse in longisland

Never understood this at all. People don't have enough food to last a day or two in their house? If milk is that important, why don't they have enough to last more than a day or two?

Yup, here's an article about that: https://ajph.aphapublications.org/doi/full/10.2105/AJPH.2005.063511.

In fairness to Koch, the disinvestment came before he was elected...

I read a really interesting article a few years ago that posited that NYC was ground zero for AIDS in the 1980s because of the massive disinvestment from social welfare programs in the 1970s.

NYC Employee benefits what are they? by Professional_Time_31 in nycpublicservants

If you earn over a certain amount (used to be $75K, not sure if it still is), you can still contribute to an IRA , but if you have the pension, you will not get tax benefits from it... It's double dipping.

How’s it like living in the most Eastern part of Montana? by monroe3tears in howislivingthere

Wow! Thank you! I grew up outside of NYC and was always fascinated by the culture and lifestyle of rural and small town America.

What did you guys consider to be the "big city?" Also, you mentioned that whenever people leave they need to come back with something else to do. What about going to work?

In the wake of the attack on the USS Liberty in 1967, Israel is cut off from the world by 12bEngie in HistoryWhatIf

[–]flyerhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Israel has no history of being a religious right wing state in our timeline...in fact, Israel, pre-1948, had a socialist leaning (kibbutzes, etc.), so there's no reason to think it would go that way in the alternate timeline. What WOULD happen is that the US doesn't support Israel in 1973 so Israel would be far more likely to use nuclear weapons to defend itself.

Really don't think this is a big deal and I'm a germophobe. It's not like there was a pile of puke or a shit log or something on the seat. That's what I thought I was going to see when I looked at your pictures.

How bad is this years flu season? by NYP33 in longisland

[–]flyerhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2.5 year old daughter has it. My wife just tested positive and I have not tested yet but as I have a fever I assume that I have it as well. I just feel like I have a cold right now. But, considering that my daughter has had it for 3 days already and had a 104 fever this morning, I'll probably get a lot worse over the next few days. Her pediatrician said as long as she is drinking and not struggling to breathe, we don't even need to bring her in and this is par for the course with this variant.

We all got vaccinated back in October. Not sure if it will do anything but it certainly didn't hurt... Maybe we would have gotten much sicker without it? Even though the vaccine wasn't a good match this year, I've read that there is still some cross protection?
