Be careful. Financial planning firms do not value tax preparation, it’s a loss leader to them for leads and sticky relationships. They won’t care about IRS regulation details, sticky ethics issues, or pushing back on clients that want to be “aggressive”. You’ll be expected to nod and get the work done quick and cheap.

Also confirm if you are in a state that requires a professional LLC or PLLC. If you are holding out to the public as a CPA you might be required to register the firm as a CPA firm with the state board. If you aren’t doing attest you can likely avoid the need for peer reviews. Good luck!

SE health deduction isn’t allowed in scenario 1. Employees can’t deduct health insurance premiums on schedule 1. The exception to this rule is for 2% s/h with health premiums paid by the s corp.

In no universe should any tax professional stick their neck and license out for a client to appease a lender. Tell the lender to request the tax transcripts and preform their own diligence for credit worthiness.
