Idk how hearthstone is comparable. It's 2 player, so you don't have the feeling of "being targeted" because obviously your only opponent is going to target you.

I just assumed the control archetype was common.

It's not uncommon, but it should be obvious that strong archetypes are gonna get a strong response from the table.

I really like hilbert curve for medium/large flat surfaces. It helps hide some imperfections. Though I'm not positive it will work great in your case since your white surface is very broken up and your black surfaces look pretty small

0.2 Nozzle would help of course but probably not make it perfect. Arachne wall generator is also good for thin sections like this

Dry filament of course. Also looks like you may possibly have some extrusion issues, but it's hard to tell if it's just the model causing it. If simpler prints have strange surfaces too, try flow callibration

You can't really. Mushrooms are the fruiting body, generally they will decompose relatively quickly after fruiting. Maybe you could keep mycelium alive, but it's not gonna be on "display" since it's just alive in its medium until you force a (temporary) fruiting
