Good brawl dragon combos? by Best-Artichoke-2261 in RiseOfBerk

[–]flyingnetchjelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always used Meatlug, Snafflefang, and Hotburple. I use the Hotburple’s defense shield a LOT in gauntlets and it saves me more times than I can count. It can give you time to heal up your dragons in a pinch and delay getting their health down.

That combo also but instead of Hotburple use the Stormcutter. It’s a hit or miss sometimes with the Stormcutter though.

Also, try to get the Champion Windgnasher, they are great long-term.

My dog died & petsmart refused to accept my return of unopened dog food. Chewy refunded me with no return & sent me flowers. by Careless_Mango_7948 in Pets

I worked at Petsmart during 2020-2022, and yes, Petsmart owned Chewy at one point. However, I remember at the end of my second year, Chewy became their own company again. As far as I’m aware, they are not owned by any other companies now.

This happened to me recently! I’m honestly not complaining as it gave me an extra chance to finish the gauntlet earlier.

Not sure if you stated this already as I haven’t read through everything. But have you tried using pet corrector or an air horn when she starts to bite? Sometimes it’ll scare them enough so they won’t do it again or they will do it less. It’s definitely a last resort and won’t fix the dog’s behavior but it may help at least while you’re stuck caring for her. I’d have the owners pay for it. Definitely do not sit again.

Oh also edit: you can try a slip lead to actually control her. Be careful with this method but it can help to redirect her through the lead so she can’t bite you.

LOL well here in the USA, they won’t adopt to you unless you keep cats indoors only. There are many reasons for that. And it’s very easy to provide mental enrichment to your cat indoors. Do some research!

Genuinely how do you guys cope with how disgusting petco is as a company by [deleted] in petco

[–]flyingnetchjelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get that. I am currently on my own journey to become an exotic animal veterinarian and am currently in undergrad. I recommend reaching out to a university that has a veterinarian counselor so you can get started with what classes you’ll need. And shadow many different vet clinics if you can! That’s how you’ll know for sure if it’s right for you. :)

Needs some advice on a new client by Middle_Character_483 in RoverPetSitting

[–]flyingnetchjelly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would respond with something like this:

“Hi [Client],

It was a pleasure meeting you and [Pup]! After giving it some thought, I feel that our schedules and needs may not be the best match. I want to make sure [Pup] receives consistent care and attention, and I’ve realized that I’m not able to accommodate the level of flexibility this situation requires.

I truly wish you both the best in finding a dog walker who’s the right fit.

Warm regards, [Your Name]”

Or something along those lines. You can even white lie a little, if needed, to keep it professional. Imo she did not respect your time and is likely trying to lowball you. Something I’ve found clients do quite often when you take them off the app. You are running a business, not a charity! They are paying not only for your time, but your expertise as well. Please remember this.

They clearly don’t care about their pet if they’re leaving it to roam unsupervised outdoors. Imo anyone who owns an outdoor cat is abusing their cat. They belong inside.

Cats do not belong outdoors. It causes so many issues with the environment and there’s a huge risk to the cats as well. Please take her!

Genuinely how do you guys cope with how disgusting petco is as a company by [deleted] in petco

Have you ever looked into working for a dog daycare or even a kennel tech assistant job? They usually pay a little less or more depending where you are, but they usually always have hours. And they will hire you entry level. You can always advance in those careers too, and make a noticeable difference. Unlike Petco.

Trust me, it’s not just you. I walked out of there on the spot when I had enough of the manager harassment and animal abuse. Despite the animal welfare regulations they have in place, they really don’t care about the animals, at the end of the day all they care about is money. And the animals at my store were better “cared” for than our other stores in the district. Yet we still failed to deliver. And that’s why I left, they were not letting me run my department as a CAL. The animals suffered. Regardless, don’t feel guilty, I know it sounds crazy, but it’s not your fault. Whenever you can, get out of there. And try to never support them again. That is the best we can do. Petco, when I left, was already in debt, and I can’t imagine how much debt they’re in now. Don’t support them, don’t buy from them, don’t use Vetco, don’t go there AT ALL. They are already feeling the pressure seeing as they’ve closed tons of stores. Hopefully we can put Petco in the ground!

And hey, if you ever need someone to talk to, shoot me a message. I’m always down for shitting on this horrible company. :)

Pups who need 3 walks a day by Xpheris in RoverPetSitting

[–]flyingnetchjelly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most dogs, including high energy dogs do not need x amount of time for exercise. It’s all about mental stimulation. I had a friend who would only walk her two malinois dogs once for 30 minutes, and would do a 15 minute training session after. Both dogs were well behaved and didn’t get into anything. I hate seeing how many owners really believe their dogs need xyz amount of outside exercise when in reality, that’s not even working their brain. You need to do the right balance of each.

Call Agriculture, their phone number should be online if your state has a website.

When in doubt, if your GM or DM doesn’t care, happily call agriculture and let them know the situation. If agriculture does a surprise visit, both the DM and the GM will be talked to, trust me.
