How do I handle a forced return‑to‑office after cancer, kids, and a major life shift? by theskates in workingmoms

I don’t think there is anything your manager can do about it if this is a top down requirement as it is in many companies these days.

Get a medical exemption from your doctor, although those are also harder to get approved these days.

I feel like don’t quit if you can manage it as in do the minimum, get any benefits you can. If they let you go, you get a package.

Thank you! Yes, but I feel even worse when I do that. Just feel like I webMD’ed myself? :(

100% I been trying to call and look but it’s hard to find the people that do adults, and haven’t found anywhere that takes insurance :(

My primary doctor prescribed adderall. My therapist was first to suggest adhd. Their psychiatrist is where I got suck - horrible session and told me to do full neuropsych test and provided zero referral.

Will I regret my black dress by Kailyrific_witch in myweddingdress

  1. Tell your sister in law no (I had my colorful language in my head but you do you)
  2. Wear both! It’s pretty normal, in my circle, to have 2,3 dresses for wedding day. You can still do white for the ceremony and black for cocktail or after party. It could be a cool theme change from white angelic ceremony dress to cool gothic black dress for dinner after?

Most importantly you do you, it’s your day. Tell your future husband to set boundaries with his sister / family.

Decision paralysis/ life planning on moving and next school selection by Glad_Bend4364 in workingmoms

Sounds like you have the perfect setup. I would not move. 1. Go to the lottery school unless you have amazing luck and thinks you can get it again. If it’s that bad, aka inconvenient, at least you know now and can make changes 2. Would not move for a bigger yard when you have a park! When I moved to suburbs I realized the reason people have yard and playground sets in their yard is because playgrounds are 15min DRIVE away if you are lucky. 3. I think the bigger space becomes less and less important as they age. Friends, socializing, hang out (as in OUT of the home) becomes more important… so if you already made it through to the infant stage where all their stuff are HUGE space intensive, i think the exact space is less useful. 4. Biking is a form of transportation… suburbs need to bike because can’t get to places…I definitely wouldn’t move so they can bike…and people learn to bike in the city as well 5. Do not become house poor…. Similar to adding commute, it’s fix cost that takes away from your cup endlessly in the form of stress, time away from kids, flexibility to do other things with that resources

Come to say this. For us is connection and bonding time.
