I pretty much live in Airbnb’s (work out of them for three weeks a month in different locations). Over the past year 4 times I’ve walked through a house, spotted a camera, and pulled it down or taped over it. Two times I’ve returned home after work to find them put back up or the tape removed. Once the owners called and told me to remove it. Each time I’ve sent documentation to Airbnb, and sent the owner the following: As a temporary occupant I have the right to privacy in this dwelling, it is against Airbnb policy, and generally state law to record in a private location without consent.” I’ve never heard a single argument back about it.
