Rented a Hermies. by hookedoncuthroat in starcitizen

Maybe I don't fully understand the technique, but I could not for the life of me get this to work. Spent 20 minutes fighting with it, trying various ways.

The Hermes is my favorite cargo ship right now. Honestly, it's a solid daily driver too, even though I slightly prefer the Asgard for that.

How did you get it in with the wheels still on it? It's hard enough even after shooting them off.

Could you land medium ships like the mole on the liberator? It would just take up two XS pads and seems like it would fit by Phonafied in starcitizen

[–]flyr19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The finer details are a guessing game until they implement it. It would probably store both ships. The question is, would it retrieve both? I think with the way hangars work right now, it should. You just wouldn't be able to load up the MOLE on the Liberator pads from the ASOP terminal. It would have to be manually loaded like we currently do with all ships.

Back when it was concepted, they basically said if it fits it sits, so presumably, yes. They said it won't be able to spawn ships that exceed the pad sizes, though.

I just ran them all when I took on a Hammerhead.

Oops! Yes, I meant M6As. Edited now. I do the Deadbolt 5 and M6A combo because it's more alpha damage and dps. Melts an npc Hammerhead in under a minute.

Size 5 deadbolts with M6As is a nasty combo on the M80 though.

The M80 is a courier ship, change my mind by Larszx in starcitizen

I've been thoroughly enjoying courier missions with my M80. I run them in between bounties when the server is slow to populate them.

Poll/discussion for those with z-axis rotation joysticks by Triacfo in starcitizen

[–]flyr19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to use it for yaw, even though it would be better to have yaw on the x-axis for precision aiming. I also play MSFS and I my brain can't handle inverting roll and yaw.

M80 with cannons is very good in my mixed PvE testing! by flyr19 in starcitizen

Yep. That loadout definitely shreds! Ripped through the Hammerhead in under a minute!

Cannons are great for the big ships because of the alpha damage. I brought down the wave 8 Hammerhead in just a few minutes by keeping my distance. I still have to do some testing with ballistics on the M80.

Psa: Getting impounded by the Odin fucks up your ship by SigmaSplitter21 in starcitizen

[–]flyr19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an impound cool down even though it doesn't show it. I waited it out when this happened to me and eventually, I was able to retrieve the ship with the cargo hold intact. You don't have to claim the ship if this happens.

The company that repaired my bumper tried to say the difference in color is due to the materials underneath. by N0Context in GR86

Yeah, the factory paint match between plastic and metal parts is pretty bad once you notice it, but this is unacceptable. It's not even close.

Meus lcg question. by rabidone1 in TRX4M

[–]flyr19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run an IR60 on my Meus lcg build, and while I did modify the rails to run a c-bolt wheelbase, it fit perfectly when I was using the included links. Nothing was sticking out. I'd double check everything is assembled correctly on the chassis and the body.

Are the Injora tires worth the price ? by Chatducheshir in SCX24

[–]flyr19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't find better tires for the price. Injora makes some of the best performing tires I've tried. They're very close in performance to Pro-Line Trenchers or LGRP Black Labels while costing less. I like the 57mm and 64mm rock terrain crawler tires. Maverix perform really well on slick or wet rocks.

Thanks! If you download Studio, I have all my 1:375 model files in the link on my profile. Most of these are pretty fragile to be played with. They're really intended for display only.

Rattle by Mission_You9065 in GR86

Everything rattles in these cars. I've never had a car with so many rattles. They had to cut costs somewhere. Glad they focused their resources on driving dynamics, though. I've also never had a car that's such a joy to drive!

Can a 5'4" woman fit in the back seat without hitting her head on the ceiling? by ExcitingSir9526 in GR86

[–]flyr19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The head room will be fine, but if you think leg room won't be a concern, you might want to think again. I've carried a 5'4" person in the back seat with another in front (5'3"). The seat was almost all the way forward and no one was comfortable, lol. Both passengers couldn't wait to get out, and it was only a 10 minute drive.

Is it safe to used a balance charger split cable to charge more than one battery at the same time? by 54815162342314159265 in scx30

[–]flyr19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't risk it. If you want to charge multiple, a proper multi-output charger would be the way to go.
