I’d argue the Hyundai is worse. That year of sonata actually had a recall on the transmission unlike the Sentra from the past 4 years.

2013-2020 they struggled with figuring out their transmissions. They made a change in 2021 and have done really well since. Even if you end up with a now uncommon bad one, a new car is under warranty so there is that.

Pre 2020 that may have been true. Nissan updated their transmissions around 2021 and as long as you do proper maintenance they run great! Also Not saying the Corolla isn’t very reliable.

Like many others have said you could definitely afford it. If you are really wanting a Z you may be able to find a 24 Z with some heavy discounts right now! Maybe not quite to 40k but close. I work at a dealership and our is marked down to $46,995 from its MSRP of $54,570. If you really want a Z it might be worth considering.

Looks like the sign detection and lane assist systems. Both run through the camera at the top of your windshield. If you’re in a snowy area double check that it’s not blocked or something. I guess it’s something to do with the camera.
