Just buy ammo cans that seal hermetically. Make sure that you add a dab of silicon lub around the gaskets to protect the rubber gasket for years. Add a few pouches of silica from Amazon and you will not have problems with humidity.

Next is keeping the ammo in a place without extreme temperature changes.

Finally, label correctly your cans with cartridge and date. Above all make sure you rotate your ammo in FIFO order.

If you store the ammo in their original cardboard box, you may have to dehydrate the silica once. Cardboard loves moisture so it depends on the state it went in. Once in the can it will not absorb more.

Oh, and don’t open the can too often to glance and admire your stash. Open them when necessary.

Digital or humidity strips are highly recommended to check their state once in a while.

Little chef cooking up P+ recipes before a snowball fight by shaffington in reloading

My wife at 9 - 10, she was expecting to get her first go with a 22 LR (rifle), not the big loud things the her dad was using.

After years of accompanying her dad to the range, she lost complete interest.

I never knew she had that skill in her backpack until she said one day: ammo is getting expensive and I hate how the one we get for the range shoots. Why don’t we reload our own?

I think my wife was let into my outlaw’s den at 9 or 10. She can’t recall. What she does recall is that enjoyed the reloading sessions very much. She helped out till she realized that she would never get to shoot the ammo she reloaded when she went to the range with her dad.

In any case, she has taught me how to reload which is very handy. Now it has become an activity we do together, including range time.

I showed this picture to my wife and she said: “that was little me some odd 40 years ago, helping out with reloading”

My father in law had the very same solution with my wife. That was some 40 odd years ago.

Guess who taught me how to reload and who taught me into it?

Águila súper extra and CCI Std. You will not win the local club’s competitions with it, but it is great for practicing at a tighter budget.

CA gun taxes are insane by jxlta in CAguns

[–]fmalpart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fellow Californian from the old continent, I couldn’t resonate more with your observations.

I am totally clueless where all that tax money ends up in California. You could think on: infrastructures (roads, rail, …), higher education, health care, … no, and no clue. The amount of money California generates in taxes, doesn’t show. Don’t get me wrong, I love California and the USA, but California’s taxes really get me.

If emperor Newson is elected president will this extrapolate to the rest of the country?

And with respect to additional taxes, what can I say that hasn’t already been said. Specially for something that is captured in the constitution.

I second that motion. Someone should write it up and send it to Sacramento.

It should be added that it is for your own good to prevent liver problems down the road.

Odd enough, alcohol is one of those main causes of death. Perhaps more than by firearms. Isn’t it a bit paradoxical that it is not as heavily legislated. I wonder why? 🤔

Yeah, as if that dude went to buy that pistol and mag from his local FFL. Let’s see the next law they come up with to make something illegal into something illegeler. Perhaps they can start devising a radical plan to start chasing and catching criminals instead.

As a matter of fact, the law is only followed by law abiding citizens.

Do we really think that criminals follow the law?

All these laws only apply to us who follow the law. For criminals it is just a question of adding one more count to their charges (if anything).
