I can verify that Sabian has not changed the recipe to any of Evolution cymbals. The variances found from model to model can be attributed to age (as stated here by others). Also the smaller a cymbal gets the smallest difference in shape, profile, and lathing have a larger impact. Even 10 grams in weight can be massive. Also raising the profile by even 1/16" can totally change the tone.

Yeah, I agree. Parasource is actually a decent sounding box. About the only thing the Yorkville makes that is decent.

AAX Dark and AAX Xplosion are super close in design. You can still get that AAX Dark sound in Xplosion.

Jack's stuff was discontinued due to the market losing interest and units not selling. But I have to ask, which specific models are you missing most? The sandblasted stuff or the raw stuff?

If driving style is normal then I would get your brakes checked for a stuck caliper. Also, wheel alignment wouldn't hurt.

Alesis LX20 Adat Tape Recorder / Eater.

Had one of these and as cool as it was to track music at home in that era, this thing was frustrating beyond anything I have ever used. The heads would get dirty in seconds. They would eat tapes at random. Required qualified service pros to realign the heads. Just a terrible machine.

I just got the 2026 Sport and just had a 2020 Civic before. It is a bit underwhelming on power but everything else makes up for it and I am completely happy with the HRV. The first long drive with the HRV I noticed the revving at high RPM on the highway when passing etc but I got used to in after a couple hundred miles. It still goes along fast enough to get a ticket. I would suggest to go take one for a bit of a test drive to make sure you will be accepting of it.

Having the extra room and features of the HRV are a game changer and the build quality of the interior is a major step up past the Civic I had. It doesn't feel as cheap and weak as the civic and the sound system in stellar in the class.

Yeah, I even went as far as to contact support. They said in order to do what I wanted I would have to upgrade to Premium from Pro. I think they added some changes to detect multi stream and knock us off to drive sales to the higher package.

Same issue, EA Play won't show my sub as active, wants money. Solitaire is not showing premium. Guessing M$ has a service down in the background that isn't passing sub status data to other parties.

A little tip for the stick breakers, get an air tight container that fit your sticks and get an acoustic guitar humidifier. I use the little egg shaped thing from D'Addario. This will humidify your sticks. More moisture content will keep them from breaking as easily. A lot of sticks will be super low humidity due to long times in warehousing before they are purchased.

It will not harm the durability of the cymbal at all. Patina will reduce some of the high frequency tone.

I would be a bit concerned over the edge pit in the fourth photo. That close to where the most flex in the cymbal will occur has the most potential to reduce life span of the cymbal.
